понимают под этим термином только эстетические разработки, забывая

о том, что отличительные черты продукции, изготовленной в Италии, не

ограничиваются внешним впечатлением, но и включают также качество

и передовые технологии. Поэтому, при работе над новой коллекцией

мебели, мы не ограничиваемся только эстетической стороной.

Мы идеи намного дальше, поскольку дом представляет собой простран-

ство для жизни, а не только для созерцания. Мы не ищем всего лишь

идеальное сочетание формы и материи, а мыслим намного шире, с

учетом того, как развиваются потребности с точки зрения практичности и

благосостояния, технические предложения с точки зрения новых веяний

в области оснащения жилища.

Каждый проект имеет душу, созданную с учетом ценностей нашей марки

и всех членов команды по разработке проекта, которые вкладывают свой

опыт и профессионализм, такие важные в нашей работе. Мы, менеджеры

по продукции, изучаем рынок, наблюдаем за тем, как меняются повсед-

невные привычки людей, как развиваются стилистические направления,

то, что может улучшить нашу жизнь в доме. Затем дизайнеры и архитек-

торы воплощают наисследования, мудборды и концепции в законченный,

компонуемый и актуальный со всех точек зрения проект. Технический

отдел, с помощью инженерных средств, замыкает круг, оптимизируя и

воплощая в производство любые новые идеи, без ограничений.

Несколько лет назад мы решили расширить границы экспериментов, и

если с одной стороны мы продолжаем работать с крупными специали-

стами в области, то с другой стороны мы установили связи с молодыми

перспективными дизайнерами, чтобы предоставить возможность буду-

щим талантам и действительно чистым умам. Конкурс, который мы орга-

низовали совместно с Европейским институтом дизайна (IED), является

примером того, как хорошая идея всегда найдет у нас свое место: две

линии кухонь Top Selection рождены под карандашом молодых студентов

и на сегодняшний день представлены на рынке и в домах по всему

миру. Маттео Беральди, создатель одной из двух моделей, в 2013 г. был

отобран Итальянским институтом культуры Нью-Йорка из 10 лучших

молодых итальянских дизайнеров. Будущее нуждается в креативности и

мы в это верим.

Design is planning. And in this word there is everything that implies and complete and solid project. Many people link this term only with aesthetic, forgetting that the distinguishing features of 'Made in Italy' are not only limited to their visual impact, they also concern quality and advanced technical aspects. For this reason, when we develop a new furniture system, we don't focus only on its aesthetic. We go much further, because the home is an environment that needs to be lived, not only "seen". We search not only for the perfect union between shape and matter, but rather take a broad-minded approach to the evolution of needs in terms of practicality, well-being and technical requirements based on new domestic architecture.

Creating Design also means daring and believing in truly innovative ideas: to do so, we need to make room for our youth, guiding and accompanying them along the path to successful planning.Because of this philosopy we crated Febal Lab, a creative workshop designed to promote innovation in the interior home design sector. Febal Lab has joined forces with Design schools to offer an educational path for young people, aimed at doing research and experimenting with ambitious, projects, but always remaining in touch with the industrial reality to which it belongs. Smart ideas are transformed into real products, ready to hit the market thanks to the energy of a dynamic process, in line with the most up-to-date trends in contemporary living.

The core of each project is moulded by the values of our brand and all components of the product development team, each contributing with different skills and expertise, all as important as the others. Us product managers study the market, we observe the way habits change, the latest stylistic trends, new materials, the most suitable accessories... needless to say, everything that can improve life at home. Designers and architects then translate research, mood boards and concepts into a complete, modular, present-day project from all points of view. The technical department applies its engineering expertise to close the loop, optimising and industrialising every new idea, without boundaries.

In recent years, the word design is often used to speak of research in the name of beauty, but if we come back to the essence of this termine and ask the right people "what is design?" we will discover that Italian excellence never forgets that true beauty is also intelligent.

MATTEO BERALDIHe loves clouds, kites, places near the sea, soft lighting, home-made pasta, laughter, honesty and fantasy. From 2007 to 2010 he worked with Matteo Ragni for various companies such as Camparisoda, Danish, Lavazza, Lorenz, Moleskine, Triennale di Milano and also is a product manager in the project TobeUs, a new brand of wooden toys environmentally friendlyand entirely made in Italy. Since 2010 he opened his own design studio, where he works on everything that leaves him infected by creativity.

DARIO POLESThe constant search for innovative solutions makes the Graphosds studio a touchstone in the field; the objective of the firm is to pro-vide the client a product that fully complies with the requirements. As for the industrial design, he has created pieces that are not intended for mass production, as well as pure oblject lines and furniture for several well-known companies.

Particular attention is placed to a deep study of design materials and technologies that meet the current home-social needs that are now anchored to concepts of sustainability and recyclable materials.

MASSIMO CASTAGNA Born on 13 November 1957, he graduated in architecture in 1984 from Milan Politecnico; he began his professional activities in 1986, founding the studio AD architettura. He has gained considerable professional experience in the field of architecture, residential and commercial buildings, upgrading and conservative restoration, hotels, interior design, art direction and design in the furnishing sector, consultancy, projects and the design supervision of furnishing points-of-purchase. One of his major creations has been the “Piramide” laboratory for Everest-K2-CNR scientific committee for the Italian National Research Council, which was built in Nepal from the beginning of 1991 at an altitude of 5050 m., to be used as a high-altitude research laboratory, a project selected for the 18th Milan Triennale. De-sign: Ceccotti Collezioni, Minotti armchairs and sofas, Acerbis International, Rossana RB,

MATTEO THUN& PARTNERS Matteo Thun & Partners - together with Luca Colombo, Herbert Rathmaier and Antonio Rodriguez - develops projects in architecture and design field. The firm is composed of a team of 50 professionals, including architects, designers and graphic artists.

It is in this new interpenetration of space I search for new solutions and materials for the "Febal kitchen", with the aim of making it the absolute protagonist of the house. "

VANDA VENTURI She works side by side to internationally renowned designers in several working experiences. From these experiences the desire to experiment is and the dare in the use of materials are emphasized and the architect is also able to catch not only the intrinsic features but also the ones related to home comfort, through techniques connected to wellness and specializing the use of feng-shui and sustainable architecture. She opens her own design studio “VS” dedicating her professionalism to whom is searching for a precise direction in the design and architectural field and, from 2004, she also takes care of strategic consulting for various companies working in the design field.

The study is highly specialized in integrated communication projects that are developed through the design of the collections’ individual elements, the study of the sets, the environments and the Art Direction. The project is designed, conceived in great detail with attention paid to the colors and trends that permeate our daily lives.

Perhaps we rarely stop and reflect on the idea of the kitchen as the true heart of the home: a crossways where the most important moments, sharing, actions and intimacy all come together. Much importance has always been afforded to this choice of furniture because the cost involved in creating this ambience is normally higher than for other areas, and the common approach has always been "it has to last a lifetime".Today, things are a little different. Thanks to new forms of domestic architecture, this space has become the front stage: it is no longer "hidden" or closed away in a secluded area, but rather is the absolute protagonist, from which we continue to expect more. And we want to give more.

The idea is that the kitchen is above first of all action: this is where we cook, chat, study, tidy up, where we pass more than 50% of our time at home. Therefore, all our models are primarily modular, with a perfect tailor-made design that not only successfully embrace every space - living area included - but which also create additional worktops, new storage spaces, integrating work areas in less than ordinary ways, such as a laundry corner or utility room.
