In the novel Lord of the Flies they see a skeleton covered by brush and creatures that looks like a normal man’s face; this is much like how the dogs were eating the flesh of the soldiers on the field because that is the food chain and is a part of nature just like how earth was taking back that body it created.

A good comparison of war novels is Gone with the wind and The Red Badge of Courage because GWTW is a love based book dealing with courage as well as the courage that Steven has to muster up to fight in the war.

Lincoln, King, and Gandhi all shared one common thing… the strong believe in world peace. They fought for the rights of humanity for people and not only did they die for what they believed in.. They would have died willingly for it.

In his novel Stephen Crane uses the third person omniscient point of view. This point of view knows everything that happens to the protagonist, what he feels, etc. It is the “all seeing eye”. Crane used this point of view to give the reader a deep look into the average soldier’s mind.
