The colour palette I intend to feature throughout the magazine is a simple, predominant monotone theme. I aim to use front cover examples from Loud and Quiet and Clash as the main inspiration as I feel the idea of creating a music and fashion themed product Is something which would engage and interest the target audience as these are often important matters to the groups of the 16-24 age group.

Through researching existing indie/alternative music magazines, I mainly favoured those which featured a dominant black and white colour theme, however I also like the idea of some aspects of the front cover involving an. element of colour to attract the attention of the audience and encourage them to develop interest in the magazine, leading to a purchase. Therefore, I have chosen to adopt a black and white colour palette for my music magazine which also involves colour- which will be explored when I reach the styling/ costume stages of research and planning
