Comarch Commission & Incentive supports the
management of multidimensional and multilevel sales
networks, creation and optimization of innovative motivation
policies and commission calculations and settlements.
Comarch Commission & Incentive significantly improves the
efficiency of sales networks thanks to web access to up-to-
date information on realization of sales targets, calculated
commissions and bonuses. The application provides
managers with tools for monitoring the sales performance
of their staff and automatically detects fraud.

Comarch Insurance Investment Allocation supports fund
unit dealing and management of individual client investment
accounts for unit-linked investment plans, pension plans
and variable annuities. Additionally, the functionality covers
NAV management and aggregated information on open
positions. The solution is equipped with an interface for
integrations with both policy administration, market data
providers and asset management systems.
Comarch Business Process Management is a modern
platform geared towards modeling, monitoring and
improvement of processes by domain experts. The solution
guarantees the ability to design business processes in
every area of a company, together with the definition of the
user interface. At the same time it is an integration platform
for dispersed applications, based on a mature and flexible
architecture.
Comarch Document Management System supports
document management, archiving and flow across the
organization. When an organization processes large
volumes of documents it is crucial to automate the process
of document management and its workflow. Comarch DMS
does this efficiently by providing automation in the scope
of document scanning and indexing, Optical Character
Recognition and full text search. The application stores not
only document images but also fully versioned electronic
documents within the structures of the document repository.
Comarch Enterprise Service Bus is a web-services
capable, middleware infrastructure platform, responsible
for communication between the individual components of
complex and heterogeneous systems. The Comarch ESB
solution is Comarch’s contribution to the main body of ESB
implementations. The main purpose of Comarch ESB is to
achieve the integration of its products with those of other
vendors, to produce a functional whole.

intuitive and ergonomic interface unified for all distribution
channels. Client information is presented in a consistent
and uniform manner in separate categories, even if they
originate from multiple data sources
Comarch Internet Insurance provides customers with the
functionality of an online insurance account, additionally
allowing for the performance of insurance operations in
self-service mode. The functional scope of the solution
may vary depending on the product line and may include:
simulation, registration of insurance applications, insurance
claim submission including uploading of claim documents
and investment account management.
Comarch Insurance Net offers a broad transactional
functionality tailored for the multichannel sales model,
including networks of agents, multi-agencies, advisors
and sales forces of other intermediaries. With Comarch
Insurance Net, the insurance company is given a tool to
realize up-selling activities by presenting information on
the insurance offer. The functional scope covers all relevant
insurance operations, from offer creation, simulation and
proposal registration, to policy issue and further policy
service.
Comarch Content Management System – a solution
integrated within Comarch Insurance Front-End - manages
the content and structure of the portal. Comarch CMS
provides multiple possibilities for the management of
content of the WWW service and a high level of security.
The system does not require additional installation or
programming – all the necessary actions can be carried out
from the level of the WWW browser.
Multichannel Approach Sales and Servicing

Comarch Learning Management allows insurance
companies to organize trainings for sales forces and
employees including sending out of invitations for
participants, distribution of training materials, analysis of
test results, and setting grading criteria. The electronic
learning tool reduces training costs and shortens the time
needed to train new employees.
Comarch Mobile Insurance offers user-friendly sales and a
self-service functionality designed for three groups of users:

The application can be installed on various types of smart-
phones and tablets. Agents/brokers and claim adjusters
benefit from real-time access to customer portfolios and
their accounts, allowing them to cope with everyday tasks.
Customers will appreciate constant access to information,
the possibility to buy insurance cover within an instance
and the ability to file a claim, and upload photos related to
damage, directly from the mobile phone.
Comarch CRM Sales Management provides comprehensive
support for customer relationships: from customer
acquisition, through the sales process (including cross-
and up-selling) and loyalty programs. The system includes
functionalities for front-desk and customer service
employees, as well as for back office employees, responsible
for managing sales processes (including preparation of
information for sales staff, definition of pricing policies,
planning, sales monitoring and report analysis).
Comarch Contact Center integrates all communications
channels telephone (conversations, voice mail, text
messaging), fax, email. Its integration with chosen tools
platforms, optimizes work within the contact center. This is

Comarch Campaign Management manages the full life-cycle
of the marketing campaign: planning, testing, realization,
optimization and analysis of effectiveness. The system
allows user to reach a chosen client group, at the right time
with the right information and via correct communication
channel.
Comarch Loyalty Management offers an advanced set of
business applications geared towards standard as well as
advanced loyalty programs. The system stands out due
to its flexibility, provision of functionalities dedicated for
marketing managers, salespersons, logistic partners and
loyalty program partners.
Comarch Asset Management provides a comprehensive
set of tools automating the asset management related
processes, supporting investment strategy implementation
(incl. simula-tions, generators), orders registration and
transaction settlements, pre and post trade compliance,
investment limit queries and investigations, portfolio

provides current information on assets under management,
cash-flow forecasts and a broad integration with market

Comarch Performance Measurement and Attribution
enables the performance assessment of active investment
portfolios and drill down to sources of profit and loss. The
application provides a distinct view on current performance
quotes at different levels of aggregation with reference
to index benchmarks or the competition’s portfolios.
Performance attribution and coefficient calculation provides
a deeper view into benchmark effects useful both for active
and passive portfolio managers.
Comarch Risk Management assures effective protection
against adverse changes in market conditions and an
assessment of their potential impact by providing risk
assessment of investment portfolios, identification of risk
factors and estimation of potential future losses. It offers
a portfolio optimization tool that supports investment
decisions with suggestions, resulting from user specified
optimization criteria. Comarch Fund Valuation covers
complete bookkeeping and asset valuation processes in
compliance with regulations. The solution handles different
asset classes and fund products, transaction processing,
and settlements in various markets

Comarch Debt Management improves the efficiency of
recovering overdue debts and money misappropriated thus
reducing the costs of a single case. All collection processes
are directed through a definable workflow: classification of
debt, soft collection process, creation of a debt payment
plan, legal proceedings, enforcement proceedings and debt
recovery. At all stages the system supports the user with a
task management tool and automates operations (e.g. mass
document printing) .
Comarch Fraud Detection analyzes a wide range of entities
that may participate in frauds and abuses. The product is
equipped with a powerful event-based Reasoning Engine,
able to analyze large amounts of data from multiple sources
(including black list search, activities, transactions) as well
as applying advanced reasoning scenarios.
Comarch provides Oracle E-Business Suite deployment
services. The Oracle E-Business Suite gathers global
financial reporting (e.g. IFRS) and tax requirements in one
accounting, tax, banking and payments model, and is
preconfigured to meet insurance industry specifics.
Comarch Insurance Data Warehouse provides structured,
aggregated and comprehensive reports to support decision
makers at various management levels. The data model
is dedicated for the insurance industry and can be fed
from multiple systems, ensuring one coherent view on all
business activities.
Comarch Business Intelligence offers a single,
comprehensive, Web-based solution for all types of
reporting: ad-hoc and cyclic reporting, enterprise-wide
report types and reports that can be authored once and
used by many company employees, thanks to a built-in
report distribution tool.
Comarch Data Mining is a new generation analysis, and
decision-making support platform. It provides a wide range
of solutions that conduct efficient and effective analysis to
obtain knowledge hidden in routinely-compiled, operational
and transactional data. The interdependencies and trends

CASE STUDY
Situation AnalysisUNIQA Group Austria is one of the leading insurance groups in Central and East-ern Europe. It is represented on the Polish market by two companies: nonlife insurance UNIQA TU SA and life insurance UNIQA TU na Życie SA. The strate-gic goal of the UNIQA Group is to outstrip the market in terms of its key busi-ness area growth. This requires the development of products, sales channels and optimization of processes. UNIQA is intensively developing its sales net-work using a multi-channel distribution system. Seven new branches were opened at the start of 2010. The company plans to open further units and to recruit some 200 new agents. At the same time UNIQA is developing insur-ance sales via financial institutions, insurance brokers and car dealerships.
“We appreciate the importance of our sales network, whose competencies and effectiveness are the source of UNIQA Insurance Group’s success”, comments Hans Christian Schwarz, President of UNIQA Group in Poland.
Making the job of insurance sales personnel as easy as possible, a speedy information exchange, and good sales and client service support, constitute the biggest challenges for UNIQA.
The SolutionUNIQA launched an Internet Sales Service Portal – a new generation tool for company partners, agents and intermediaries. Implementation of the portal was an important element in the realization of the UNIQA group’s strategy that expects to increase the effectiveness of its sales network.
The Sales Service Portal was based on the Comarch Insurance Front End plat-form. Comarch Insurance Front End is a mature frontend class solution made up of many applications, a so called mashup. According to analysts from Gartner Strategic Guideline, by 2020, mashup technology will become the dominating model (80%) for building complex business systems.
“Implementing the new Sales Service Portal is another step in the realization of our mission to be a new generation insurer. UNIQA’s ambition and goal is to deliver the most modern solutions for products as well as processes al-lowing maximum comfort and effectiveness of work for our insurance sales managers and partners”, says Schwarz.
The Sales Service Portal guarantees rich and ergonomic functionality: insurance sales and service: preparing offers, issuing online
policies, preparing policies in a traditional manner, access to information about the agent’s client portfolio as well as renewing the policy by pressing a single button,
client service: client data review in accord with set criteria (e.g. age, address, products already in use), identification of needs and client possibilities as part of the portfolio, with a goal to an effective cross and up-selling of insurance,

commission settlement: up to date information for agents and team leaders who received a commission, bonus or raise,
planning and monitoring the realization of sales goals as part of the whole sales structure,

task planning and calendar: automatic information about upcoming important deadlines (e.g. the expiry of policies or rate payment), which allows action planning as well as sending tasks to be carried out by subordinate employees.
“Functionalities guaranteed by the Sales Service Portal definitely affect the quality and organization of agents’, sales unit directors’ and HQ managers’ work. They will also be valued by insurance brokers and car dealers who work in cooperation with UNIQ”, underlines Schwarz.
The Sales Service Portal does not need to be installed on the computer as it is a web browser application. It is intuitive and easy to use. It guarantees ac-cess to nonlife insurance and life insurance products in one place, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Due to its modular structure it is possible to develop it further based on current needs and user suggestions
The Sales Service Portal is integrated with the central repository of users in UNIQA. Thanks to this UNIQA employees and insurance agents receive access to functionalities defined by their set privileges when starting work in the por-tal. The portal takes into account the role of the user in company structures (every role has a characteristic layout).
Due to the effective integration of the Comarch Insurance Front End platform with UNIQA’s production systems it is possible to:
base the system on business logic and on a given structure of production system (calculations, competencies, product definitions, reading and saving of proposals/policies and client data),
use information about the UNIQA sales structure, use a distinct agent identifier for all the IT systems,
Integration with EUROTAX: during the creation, renewal, registration and mod-ification of the policy, Comarch Insurance Front End is integrated with the au-tomobile valuation system EuroTax with regard to motor insurance.
Solution AdvantagesSynergy effect. Comarch Insurance Front End is made up of high quality so-lutions, expertly prepared to realize the business goals set before them. As-sembling them onto one joint platform gives an additional synergy effect and increases the added value of the implementation.
Bettering effectiveness of the sales process and post sales service. Co-march Insurance Front End platform’s tools allow the sales process and cli-ent servicing to be shortened. This increases the comfort in the work carried out by intermediaries and increases insurance company client satisfaction. Launching the cross and up selling tools increases client profitability from the most lucrative segments.
Multichannel communication. The portal fully utilizes available client commu-nication channels with the help of agents, unit employees, dealers, call cent-er, text messaging, internet (WWW, WAP), fax or email.
Module based architecture. It allows for an evolution based development of the solution. A readymade system nucleus supports iterative develop-ment by adding consecutive modules in a completely secure manner. This increases the continuity of business and the comfort of everyday jobs car-ried out by the users.
Configuration possibilities. Flexibility in the management of Comarch Insur-ance Front End allows for a quick reaction to the changes in the conditions under which business is carried out as well as allowing modification of the platform without the need to employ technical personnel in the system struc-ture and business processes.
Ergonomic and friendly environment. Interface improvement and alignment betters work comfort and increases employee efficiency, which leads to the re-duction of employee training costs as well as eliminating the time lost by users when logging in and the repeated adding of the same data to different systems.
