A leaking well can damage the environment and result in production loss. The Noise Tool houses a
sensitive hydrophone that is highly effective in the detection of flow inside and outside the cased well. It
uses a piezoelectric sensor to detect downhole audio frequencies and amplitude variations due to fluid
and gas movement. The audio sound from the tool through a surface module allows the operator to
monitor well conditions.
The Noise Tool is combinable with Cement Bond Tool, Caliper Tool, Metal Thickness Tool, and etc. to offer
clients different service purposes.

The stationary logging file shows strong noise around 2890m, and
full frequency range is displayed. This is not a perforated zone and
there is no special structure in the pipe column. Therefore, it is
identified as the leak point.
Result
The interpretation result clearly shows noise frequency spectrum
imaging at 2890m, where there should be the leak point.

The stationary logging file shows low-frequency noise is absent from
1005m-1020m, while fairly strong mid-frequency noise is present.
Result
The interpretation result shows noise signals are clearly presented
between the two producing zones, and the frequency falls into that of
behind-casing noises. Therefore, there should be cementing issues ie.
channelling, between the zones.
