    1. Introduction

    1.1 General informationBeforeworkingwiththeunittheusermustbecomefamiliarwithit.Thisincludesespeciallytheknowledgeandobservanceofthesafetyandwarningdirections.Thepictographsusedinthisinstructionmanualhavefollowingmeaning:

    TheusedsemiconductorsandcomponentsofKEBarede-velopedanddimensionedfortheuseinindustrialproducts.IftheKEBCOMBIVERTisusedinmachines,whichworkunderexceptionalconditionsorifessentialfunctions,life-supportingmeasuresoranextraordinarysafetystepmustbefulfilled,thenecessaryreliabilityandsecuritymustbeensuredbythemachinebuilder.

    1.3 QualificationAllworkfromthetransport,toinstallationandstart-upaswellasmaintenancemayonlybedonebyqualifiedpersonnel(IEC364and/orCENELECHD384orDINVDE0100andnotenationalsafetyregulations).Accordingtothismanualqualifiedstaffmeansthosewhoareabletorecogniseandjudgethepossibledangersbasedontheirtechnicaltrainingandexperienceandthosewithknowledgeoftherelevantstandardsandwhoarefamiliarwiththefieldofpowertransmisssion(VDE0100,VDE0160(EN50178),VDE0113(EN60204)aswellasthosewhonotethevalidlocalregulations).

    1.5 Product descriptionThePortableOperatorhasadisplaywithatextindicator,whichenablesaclearlyrepre-sentationofcomprehensiveinformations,forexampleaparameternamewithitsvalue.Severallanguagesareavailable.Thefour functionkeysareoccupiedvariable. Internalandexternalpossibilityofsavingenablesthetransmissionandstorageofparameterlistsandtherebyafasterprogrammingof inverter.

    Thistransmissioncanbemadewire-connectedandwireless(WIRELESSversion).

    TheBASICversion issuppliedviatheenclosedcombicablebytheD-Sub9connector.AlternativelyitcanalsobesuppliedwithastandardUSBconnectioncable(typeA->Btype)fromaPC/Laptop.

    2.5 Accumulator operationOnlyforunitvariantwithWIRELESS:ThePortableOperator contains an integrated Li-Ion accumulator,which supplies theoperatorwhentheUSBcableisremoved.Thisenablesrealmobileoperationatwirelesscommunication.

    PressthegreenENTERkeyfor2secondstoswitchontheunit.TheaccumulatorischargedviatheUSBportX6B.Aloadcontrollerpreventsoverloading.Theaccumulatorindicatorinthemainmenuinthefunctionstripleftdisplaysthecapacity(voltagemeasurement)andcharging(runningbar)orlowlevel(flashing).ChargingcanbedonebyPC,laptoporUSBpowersupply.Max.5Varepermissiblehere.Theaccumulatordisplayisnolongervisibleaftercompletecharging.

    In order to prevent theaccumulator, several functionsare available in themenu „Set-tings“:• Thebacklightcanbeswitchedofftimecontrolled.• ThecompletePortableOperatorcanbeswitchedofftimecontrolled.• IneithercasethePortableOperatorswitchesoffafterashortnoteatlowaccumulator

    ThePortableOperatorispermanentlyswitchedonduringvoltagesupplyviaUSBsocket,otherwisetheunitcanbeswitchedoffinthemainmenuviafunctionkeyF4,thenF1.

    Incaseoffailure,especiallyatrunningcustom-specificapplication,theunitcanbeswitchedoffbysoftwareformorethan10secondsbypressingF1andF4simultaneously.If these software switchoff failure then themain switch in theunit canbe reachedbyopeningthelowerflap(removethescrewforthis).Therebytheaccumulatoriscompletelydisconnected,alsothereal-timeclocklosesitsdata.
