Broker Introduction

Craig Gilbert—Owner/Principal Broker Craig Gilbert was born in Portland, and although he spent most of his younger years here, he left to attend the University of Washington. Twenty years ago, after spending time in several locations on the West Coast he returned to Portland. Prior to entering the Real Estate field, most of Mr. Gilbert’s time was spent working in the Lumber Industry, most notably as owner of a remanufacturing facility employing over 200 people. Mr. Gilbert has been in Portland Real Estate since 1990 and a Broker since 1993, at which time he began doing commercial real estate exclusively. He has been involved in many aspects of Sales, Leasing, and Development of commercial properties with a focus on office and apartment complexes. In 1994 Mr. Gilbert began working with Richard Levy at Bluestone & Hockley Real Estate Services and formed an immediate alliance which resulted in the successful leasing and sales of hundreds of buildings. Together, with a former assistant, they were recognized as one of the most outstanding Leasing Teams in Portland for 1998 by Oregon Business Magazine. In 2006 Mr. Gilbert rejoined Richard (Dick) Levy to form PDX Metro Commercial, LLC, and Windermere Community Commercial which manages, sells and leases commercial properties and businesses with a team of 12 commercial agents. PDX Metro Commercial has also grown to include Windermere Community Realty, a busy residential division which is home to more than 25 agents, and growing. Mr. Gilbert’s personal experience has been varied and broad, successfully overseeing numerous large and demanding projects over the years. He brings with him a level of knowledge and insight which has proven to be an invaluable asset to each transaction in which he engages.

Support Staff

Vinny Small—Commercial Broker Vinny Small was born and raised in Portland Oregon. He is proud alumni of Central Catholic and the University of Montana. Real Estate, a family business, has always been a part of his life and his passion. Vinny brings with him several years of property management experience, having worked with Parker Realty, and JELC Holdings. He is currently doing commercial leasing as well as property management with Windermere.

Deborah Huffman—Commercial Administrator Deborah Huffman is a native of the Great Pacific NW and first entered the world of Real Estate 15 plus years diversified experience working in the real estate industry as an office administrator, agent assistant, transaction coordinator, and marketing, internet, software, and computer support specialist. Deborah specializes in designing, developing and maintaining marketing materials, websites, data base management, and systems organization. Deborah recently joined Windermere Commercial and has jumped right in to help with the Commercial Brokerage, and Management teams. She is responsible for marketing Windermere’s properties to potential clients and continually strives to optimize and tailor the marketing campaigns to target the exact right audience.

Websites—All of our available properties are showcased on the PDX Commercial and Windermere websites which have a user friendly interface for searching available listings.

CoStar/LoopNet

We post all listings on CoStar which is the number one provider of commer-cial real estate research and information services for property investors and sales professionals in the United States. These listings are also “showcased” through CoStar which gives them priori-ty placement on Google!

Listings are also placed on LoopNet, the most heavily trafficked website among commercial real estate brokers. Windermere agents are “Premier Listers” making us three times more likely to source a deal through LoopNet.

RMLS

Windermere agents subscribe to the Regional Multiple Listing Service (RMLS™) which produces and provides multiple listing and relat-ed services to subscribers and facilitates cooperation between REALTOR® participants. As the Northwest's largest REALTOR®-owned Multiple Listing Service(MLS), RMLS serves approximately 10,000 Real Estate Professionals in over 2,200 offices throughout Oregon and Southern Washington. The RMLS™ database holds an archive of over one million listings, including over 35,000 active listings, and over two million tax records. Properties listed with Windermere Community on the RMLS are also auto-matically populated on several public websites. Revisions in price and status are updated automatically. The websites below are just a few of many sites fed by the RMLS, giving each listing a significant boost in exposure.

Craig’s List

Three times per week, listings are posted on Craig’s List, which has proven to be extremely useful in the sale and leasing of many properties.

Vertical Email

Email Campaign—Once per month our listings are sent through VerticalE-mail, which is a unique direct messaging business solution that allows one commercial real estate professional to communicate directly with all other professionals in his or her market and specialty. Through this service we can target Brokers who are looking for exactly the property type we have to offer.

Social Media/Networking

Having your property information seen on social media websites is an essential part of marketing these days. 40 + percent of prospective buyers find the property they ultimately purchase in the internet. Social networks/media is where people talk, share information and keep informed. We will ensure the your property is listed on several high traffic social media sites.
