Relative to matter of band con­certs, the Finance committee report­ed that there was no way of furnish­ing money for same.

Ordinance Committee. Aid. Sink presented An ordinance

to amend an ordinance entitled, "An ordinance relative to parks, boule­vards and lawn extensions within the City of Ann Arbor, Michigan," which was given its first reading by title, passed to and given its second read­ing, and referred to the Ordinance committee by the following vote: Yeas, Aid. Street Committee. Hon. Common Council: Gentle­

men—Your committee on streets, to whom was re-referred the mat ter of pavenient on Hill street recom­mends that no storm water sewers or pavement be built on this street at present.

We also recommend that the sum

of $150.00 ibe appropriated for grad­ing and graveling Berkshire road, for a distance of about 150 feet northerly from Washtenaw ave.

We also recommend that a cross­walk be built along the north side of Hill St. across Onondaga st.

We further recommend that the Board of Public Works be instructed to cause the necessary plans, speci­fications and estimates of cost of paving and taking care of storm water on East Jefferson st., from Fifth ave. to State st., and Division St. from Packard st. to Detroit st. Sidewalk Committee. To the Council: Gentlemen—Your

Sidewalk committee have had the following walks under consideration, and recommend that sidewalks 'be constructed on south side of Madison St. along the property of Ann Arbor railroad; on West Washington st. along property No. 225 and 325; and on East Huron st. along the property of Elizabeth M. Tuttle and W. L. Wood, and along the property of Mrs. Lizzie Sage on Summit st.

Your committee f\irther recom­mends that the City Engineer furnish resolutions establishing the proper sidewalk grades on the east side of Fifth ave., between Jefferson and Madison sts. and on the north side of Kingsley st., between Ashley and First sts.

We also recoiTimend that a cross­walk 'be constructed on the north side of Summit st. west of No. 148 and that it be properly tiled. Julius H. Koernke, Sam Heusel, Thos.
