Purpose of the Traffic Impact Analysis
Traffic impact analysis (TIA) is the general study of the extent to which proposed land use developments, and the traffic they are expected to generate, will affect the adjacent or surrounding transportation system.
Evaluates potential traffic impact of a proposed development on the roadways in the surrounding area:– Identify/address potential traffic operations problems – Identify/address operational needs– Identify/address community safety challenges
