Sub: Building Commuter Rail Corridor in Bangalore connecting nearby cities/towns.

I take this opportunity to inform you that we have entrusted the work of preparation of

report on "Implementation of Commuter Rail System in Bangalore - Comprehensive

Assessment of Rail facilities and requirements" to RITES. The draft report is awaited in

February 2012. Once the report is finalized and accepted by the State Government, we will

initiate action for further interaction with the Indian Railways.
