Role Purpose

To be part of the Leek Transfer Station and HWRC team that provides the servicing and handling of waste entering and leaving the site, specifically the site Weighbridge Operation.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure Waste Acceptance Criteria is adhered to at all times. Efficiently and highly accurate inputting of all data into the weighbridge

recording system for vehicles collecting / delivering to the site.

Ensure all hazardous paperwork is completed as required to ensure all appropriate information and documentation is made available for the hazardously waste returns.

Ensure that the weighbridge traffic management plan is adhered to and maintained/controlled at all times.

Previous experience of working on the Weighbridge and background knowledge is essential.

A committed and flexible approach is required to work within an established team.

To effectively communicate and work with the Staffordshire Contract Office and administration team.

To ensure that all factors which may affect the operation are communicated to the Staffordshire FCC Contract Office immediately and where possible to colleagues to avoid problems.

Ensure that the waste in the Transfer Station is effectively and efficiently organized/moved by effective liaison and communication with the Leek TS & HWRC team, including the HGV drivers, Loading Shovel Operative and Supervisor.

To follow work instructions provided and IMS procedures as indicated by line management. To complete all Health and Safety training and update as required.

To take all necessary precautions for the safety of all people, vehicles and plant as per Health and Safety legislation. Seeking guidance from Supervisors and Management.

To report any accident affecting vehicles, equipment, self or third parties to a supervisor/Management.

To carry out any other reasonable tasks as required or demanded by the Contract and line management.

Qualifications and Experience (preferred)

Previous weighbridge experience essential. Good Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook preferable but

not essential. Literate and numerate, able to complete the various daily operational

documents.

Well disciplined and have a flexible attitude to respond to the needs of the contract.
