In South Africa, a war rages: poacher versus rhino. The ultimate cost? Extinction.
Home to 80% of the world’s rhino, since 2008 South Africa has been the battlefield of a poaching epidemic that has seen nearly 1400 rhino killed.
This 48 minute documentary investigates crucial issues at the heart of the crisis: why does the market for rhino horn exist, and where did it originate from? How do the Asian syndicates (that employ the poachers) operate?
Through interviews with experts in related fields, key answers arise: the market for rhino horn is here to stay, and many tactics are needed to keep our rhino population safe.
The viewer is taken on an emotive, insightful journey, inspiring the public/the viewer to do what it takes to protect this magnificent species, before it is too late. Broadcast on SABC 2, October 2012

PERCY Yutar was the South African government’s most notorious prosecutor during the apartheid years. His aggressive arraignment at the 1963 Rivonia Treason Trial, one of history’s most famous political trials, sent Accused Number One (Nelson Mandela) to prison for life. Based on an exclusive series of television interviews with Yutar shortly before his death, this documentary explores Percy’s claim that he saved Nelson Mandela from the death penalty. This material has never been broadcast, until now.
Had Yutar simply seized an opportunity to further his career by sending Nelson Mandela to prison and in so doing, performed his “stately duty”. Or had he indeed chosen the lessor of two evils and saved a man from execution by imprisoning him for life? Broadcast on SABC 2, October 2012

In 2014 CMP teamed up with Entelect, a customised software development company, to create a call to action video for their 100K challenge.
