Royal Oak Civic Center A proposed public-private partnership between the City of
Royal Oak and the Central Park Development Group, the Royal
Oak Civic Center consists of five projects within the current city
hall site:
A new six-story Henry Ford Health System high-tech outpa-
tient medical center
A new 30,000 sf standalone Royal Oak city hall A new 581 space parking garage
A new police station
A new public downtown park
Construction of the medical center began in May 2018, and the
building is expected to be completed in mid-2020. Construction
of the parking garage began in June 2018 and is expected to be

Etkin Office Project This recently completed $20 million, 74,000-square-foot
office building is situated at the corner of 11 Mile and Cen-
ter Street and has brought more than 350 daytime em-
ployees to downtown Royal Oak.
Tenants include research firm Gongos Inc.; the building's
developer, Southfield-based Etkin LLC; and Stout Risius
Ross.
Woodward Corners by Beaumont The former Northwood Shopping Center at the southwest
corner of Woodward Avenue and 13 Mile Road is currently
the site of a new $32.8 million development. A 16 acre
campus comprised of seven buildings will offer a grocery
store, a hotel, restaurants and 110,000 square feet of re-
tail space. The 183,000-square-foot complex will feature
green space, landscape gardens and an assemblage area
to host festivals and fairs. Set for completion in the first
quarter of 2019, Woodward Corners by Beaumont is ex-
pected to bring over 30 new businesses to Royal Oak.
Hyatt Place Hotel Project Located at at 400 N. Main, the five story, 122-room Hyatt Place hotel opened on November 8, 2018. Regus, a flex office and co-working space, is located on the second floor. Currently under construction adjacent to the hotel is a 91 unit luxury apartment complex that should be com-pleted in 2019.

600 S. Main St. Project Developed by Burton-Katzman, this proposed mixed use project will bring 428 parking spaces, 19,000 sf of retail and 77,000 sf of new office space to Downtown Royal Oak. Construction is planned to begin in 2019.
Kinetic Creations Headquarters
Construction is nearly complete with this $4 million mixed-use, three story building devel-oped by Royal Oak-based Kinetic Creations as its new headquarters on 4th Street. For leasing opportunities, click here.
Former Citizens Bank Project Demolition crews have finished taking down the long-vacant Citizens Bank building at 218 S. Main to make way for a two-story building that will include a restaurant, re-tail and office space. Construction is anticipated to begin Summer 2018.
The Griffin Apartment Project Singh Development has just started construction of its $65 million, 245 luxury apartment and retail development lo-cated at the gateway to downtown Royal Oak. The 250,000 square-foot building will also include a cafe, busi-ness center, courtyard pool and fitness center, among other amenities.

Eagle Plaza
In 2015, Royal Oak successfully completed its crowdfund-
ing initiative to transform the worn-out Center Street pe-
destrian plaza into a state-of-the-art ‘smart park’ that will
incorporate many elements, including Wi-Fi, charging sta-
tions, solar panels, touch-screen kiosks, and sustainable
landscaping. The project, which utilized the Michigan Eco-
nomic Development Corporation's Public Spaces Commu-
nity Places program, is now open.
