Computer Club Education Program for Calendar Year 2020
Introduction
The Greenspring Computer Club has for several years offered a variety of formal
courses to help Greenspring residents make better use of their computers. This
assistance has taken several forms: reviewing basic concepts of computer
operations, keeping up with changes in computer hardware and software,
addressing newly introduced hardware and software applications, addressing
specific operational problems, learning new computer skills, etc.
With these objectives in mind, a significant amount of effort has been expended in
developing a revised education program which is intended to improve how better
to meet the needs of the community. The syllabus below provides the details on
each of these revised computer courses.
All the Greenspring Computer Club courses have been temporarily suspended with
the current COVID-19 social distancing policy. Once the social distancing policy
has been eliminated all the courses will be re-scheduled. The instruction goal is to
offer the Working with Windows, Internet, Email, Word Processing, Spreadsheet,
iPhone Basics, iPad Basics and UBER courses twice during a year. While offering
the Android Smartphone Basics four times a year.
