Classroom Rules and Procedures
The Big 10
1. Enter the classroom quietly.
Go to your assigned seat.
Copy down the daily agenda.
Begin keyboarding.

2. Never interfere with another student’s
learning. In this classroom there is nothing more
important than student learning. Any actions
that interfere with or prohibit student learning
will be dealt with severely.

3. No food or drink is allowed in the
computer lab. If any food or drink is visible, it will be thrown
away, and escalating consequences will be
given.

4. Although cooperative learning is
encouraged, students are expected to
work quietly at all times. Students should not communicate so loudly
that it disrupts the learning of other students
around them.

5. If you have a question, raise your hand
quietly and wait to be called upon. There are 36 students in the class. There
are times when it takes a while for me to get
to everyone. Either be patient or ask
another student to help you.

6. Do not interrupt lectures or class
discussions. Raise your hand quietly and wait to be
called upon.

7. Students are expected to pay attention and follow along quietly during classroom instruction.

8. Students are to work only in the software
program(s) that are authorized. If you finish assignments early, you will be
given approved alternative activities.

9. No communication of any kind using the computer.
No online games No email or chat rooms, including online
forum No “My Space” or other sites which have
message boards or other communications

10. Damage or tampering of any kind to the computer equipment, school network or other student’s work, is strictly prohibited.
Please respect the equipment that you get to use for free!
Possible Consequences Fired! (Buddy Room/On Campus Suspension)
Phone call to parent/guardian Detention Wednesday Night School Account lock out (temporarily or permanently).
Referral to Vice Principal
Suspension/Expulsion
