The interview will start with a general conversation (focus on the interviewed) and with an explanation about the purpose of it. The questions will range from general (this type of questions will arise throughout the conversation) to more specific. They wont have a rigid order and some new question might pop up during the interview (depending on the answers). I wont ask the questions exactly like they are written (they are a starting point). The interviews will be carried like an informal and emphatic conversation.

• For how long have you been living in this neighborhood? • Do you live with anyone? • Tell me something about your family (about those who are closer to you - family context

and support). It can start with a favourite story or happening about her and a relative… • What do you usually do with your time? Guide me through a normal day… so, you wake

up around… and then…

I will focus the interviews on their daily “routines” outside their homes (where and with whom). If the interviewed challenges me with a new sub theme, i might explore it with them. But only if it makes sense and if i will be able to connect it with the main challenge and themes (free association and intuition at the moment).

• How often do you get out? What’s your favourite spot? Do you have one? What do you enjoy to do the most with your free time outside your home?

• Tell me something that you really don’t like to do? • Tell me something about your friends? What do you like to do with them? • What are your favourite activities?

Digging deeper

1. The new 70's outside their homes (building a visualisation map)

At this moment, i will focus more on opinions, visions, insights and personal feelings about deeper issues related with their age (relating age awareness, spaces and society).

• What do you thing about the places that you go… through someone with your age perspective… Do you think that you neighborhood or your city is age friendly? Do you think that society is age friendly?

• If you could create a space to people around your age, how would it be like? Can you describe it for me?

• Do you remember when you were 20/30 years old? What did you used to do outside home? • On those days, how did you imagine yourself when you got to 70/80 years old? • The things that you do now, are they different? How different and why? Is there something

that you stopped doing because of your age? • Do you feel old? Being old, what does this mean for you? What’s the best and the worst of

it?

Here we go!

Themes

I will explain this part of the challenge like a complement of the main one. I want to explore an “inside” part of their lives (inside their homes). Their bedside table like an exterior extension of their pre-oneiric activity (what do they see before they go to sleep?). I will focus on the objects that they have on their bedside table, routines before they go to bed and if they wake up during the night.

• Can you describe me what you have on you bedside table? Make me a tour around it. • Before you go to bed, what do you do? Any particular routine? Could you describe it for

me? • How good do you sleep? For how long? Do you usually get up in te middle of the night?

Here we go!

Digging deeper

Looking for the whys and some stories around the before, the during and the after sleep.

• Before you go to sleep, what’s on your mind? • Do you remember your dreams? Can you tell me about any particular dream… dreams

can make fantastic stories! • Is this a quiet neighborhood? • Do you like to sleep? • Do you take a nap during the day? • Did you ever felt afraid of falling asleep?
