Page 1 Confederation of Indian Industry & Young Indians Celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Week Young Indians (Yi) is an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), India’s premier business association, formed in the year 2002, with an objective of creating a platform for young Indians to realize the dream of a developed nation. The Yi membership includes young progressive Indians between the age group of 25 & 40 years. The members comprise of entrepreneurs, professionals and progressive achievers from different walks of life. “To become the voice of young Indians globally” being the vision of Yi, it provides a platform for young Indians to participate in and contribute to being an integral part of the Indian Growth Story. Global Entrepreneurship Week is the world’s largest celebration for creation of ecosystem of entrepreneurship. It was also celebrated by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at BBA auditorium, M S University during 18 th November 2013 to 24 th November, 2013. Part of which, Business Plan Competition & Business Quiz Competition were held on 23 rd November. Entrepreneurship Development Cell at Parul Campus had taken initiative to guide students to take part in competition. Dr. P G K Murthy (Director, Parul Institute of Management & Research), Prof. Shantanu Chakravarty (Principal, Parul Institute of Business Administration & EDC core committee member), Prof. Yash Chawla (Event Manager & Member of EDC committee) & Prof. Digvijay Barot (EDC Coordinator) had put consistent efforts for giving intensive guidance to the students.

Global Entrepreneurship Week

Young Indians (Yi) is an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII),

India’s premier business association, formed in the year 2002, with an objective of

creating a platform for young Indians to realize the dream of a developed nation. The Yi

eve of 23rd November, 2013.

Management Services Pvt. Ltd.), Mr. Amit Bhatnagar (Managing Director at Diamond

Power Infrastructure Ltd, Vadodara), Mr. Aswin Gandhi (Director at Express hotels

India), Mr. Ashish Tondon (Chairman & CEO at Channelworld, Vadodara), Mr. Ankur Jain

(Owner, Ankur Scientific Energy Technologies Private Limited, Vadodara).

On 23rd November Business Plan Competition & Business Quiz competition were held in

BBA Auditorium, M S University.

Business Plan Competition was comprises of three topics Social Entrepreneur,

Netpreneur and The next Best Thing, which were given in advance for designing a

power point presentation. In Business Plan Competition there were two teams from

Parul Campus one team from Parul Institute of Business Administration and one team

from Parul Institute of Management & Research..

Along with it students of Parul Campus have participated in a Business Quiz

Competition. Other prominent teams were from M S University & Navrachana

University. Business Quiz was comprises of the questions on the facts which was

encompass 75% info of Gujarat, 20% of India and 5% of global.

During the closing ceremony of Global Entrepreneurship Week at Gateway Hotel,

Vadodara city student of Parul Institute of Management & Research, Miss. Rachana

Parikh was felicitated by Mr. Amit Bhatnagar being a Winner of Business Quiz

Competition.

Students of Parul Institute of Management & Research, Miss. Monika Vaghasia & Mr.

Ronak Kalsara were felicitated by Mr. Amit Bhatnagar being a 1st Runner up of Business

Plan Competition.

After taking dinner at Hotel Gateway students were interacting with Mr. Ankur Jain

about his entrepreneurial journey on the eve of Saturday 23rd November, 2013
