SeminarsMotivate With GateGetting students motivated to learn English is getting harder every year. Quickly changing technologies and the ever faster pace of modern life disrupt pupils’ capability for concentration, and textbooks are soon out of date. Here’s where English-language magazines come in handy and can be a great help in making sure your students are motivated to learn English. From difficult grammar and language points to funny cartoons and the latest pop songs, Gate Magazine will always deliver on both education and fun.
Testing and ListeningIn the past two decades the pressure on pupils to pass tests has only got stronger. From Maturita to entrance exams, the need to pass tests is growing. We will look at ways to use magazines to prepare for tests, especially listening, usually the most stressful part.
Reading DifferentlyWith current technology, pupils often spend their time behind a screen, reading text that ranges from chats in games to Wikipedia articles. Communication is done largely via text. Magazines are an ideal tool for improving reading skills. We will practise a couple of exercises on how to use magazines for reading, in a different way.
