"TWO TIER LOGICAL WAN CONCEPT"- Ednet uses purchased frame relay for smaller sites in district- One Optical pipe placed to highest utilization point in district- Optical router localizes non-IP traffic in district & provides interconnect for municipal gov't- Private AT/IPX/IP addressing schemes within the districts can be maintained- Allows existing firewalls & content filtering to stay in place at District's discretion- Optical Router reusable as network scales up- Most existing networks in place can be accomodated and upgraded
