** This is the tu form of the verb without the –sfor –er verbs
TO COMMAND A GROUP OF PEOPLE
Invitez des copains!Faites la fête!
N’oubliez pas la date!
** This is the vous form of the verb.
WHEN YOU’RE INVOLVED TOO :
Invitons les copains!Faisons la fête!
N’oublions pas la date!
** This is the nous form. It means “Let’s!”
L’IMPÉRATIF :COMMANDS!
• Use the “tu” form of the verb when commanding one person.
Fais tes devoirs! Viens chez lui!
• For verbs that end in –er (inviter, organiser, parler, ranger, manger), you have to drop the –s too.
Invite des amis! Organise! Parle en français! Range ta chambre!
Use the vous form when commanding more than one person.
Invitez! Organisez! Parlez en français! Rangez!
Use the “nous” form when you want to say “Let’s!” Invitons des copains! (Let’s invite friends!) Organisons une fête! (Let’s organize a party!) Parlons en français! (Let’s speak French!)
