8. THE TERMS 'REMOVE' AND 'DEMOLISH' AS USED IN THE DOCUMENTSARE EQUAL IN MEANING AND UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE INDICATECOMPLETE DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL OF THE ITEM IDENTIFIED. THETERM 'DEMOLITION ACTIVITIES' OR 'DEMOLITION OPERATION' SHALLMEAN BOTH THE DEMOLITION AND RELATED RECONSTRUCTIONWORK AS MAY BE APPLICABLE.
9. DEMOLITION OF EXISTING CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE LIMITED TO THEITEMS INDICATED TO BE DEMOLISHED.

11.CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE DEMOLITION OPERATIONS INSUCH A MANNER AS TO MINIMIZE HARDSHIP TO TENANTS, USERS ANDOTHER TRADES. AS PART OF THE BIDDING PROCESS, THECONTRACTOR SHALL BECOME AWARE OF ANY POTENTIALLIMITATIONS IN SCHEDULING, ACCESS AND SEQUENCE OF WORK VIACONSULTATION WITH THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE AND THEARCHITECT AS REQUIRED.

ALL WORK SHALL BE PERFORMEDIN ACCORD WITH ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND/OR LOCAL RULES,REGULATIONS, STANDARD AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS. • WHERE FIRE PROOFING IS SPRAYED ON EXISTING STRUCTURE ALLEXISTING CONDUITS, WATER, HYDRONIC, STEAM, CHILLED WATER, FIREPROTECTION LINES, MED GAS, ETC. SHALL BE LOWERED TO BE BELOWFULL THICKNESS OF FIRE PROOFING WITH NO INTERFERENCE.
• ALL PENETRATIONS OF FIRE AND SMOKE RATED ASSEMBLIES SHALL BEAPPROPRIATELY FIRE STOPPED PER AN APPROVED U.L. LISTEDSTANDARD. CONTRACTOR SHALL PAY PARTICULAR ATTENTION TOINSULATED PIPING PENETRATIONS.
