  • Issue 1: Breaking Down the Barriers

    Over 50% generally felt that the Meadows is well connected to surrounding areas.

    62% of people felt that commuter parking was a problem in the Meadows.

    55% of people felt safe walking through the Meadows, 40% did not, however many said they did not feel safe at night.

  • Issue 2: Building on Sense of Place and Community

    49% of people are happy with the existing childrens/community facilities

    55% of people did not think there were enough adequate facilities on the Embankment.

    51% of people do not think the BridgewayCentre is a good place to visit.

    62% of people think the parks and open spaces are well looked after, particularly Queens Walk Park

    66% of people find there is strong community spirit where they live

  • Issue 3: Creating a Great Housing Choice

    66% of people like the housing in the Old Meadows 47% of people do not like the housing in the New

    Meadows 59% of people would like to see more homes for sale 72% of people said their current home is suitable for

    their needs 44% of people do not think that the Council/

    Nottingham City Homes maintain their housing well

  • Issue 4: A Low Carbon Community

    70% of people regularly use pedestrian/cycle routes, and 70% thought these needed improving

    53% of people struggle to meet their fuel bills.

    66% of people would be interested in finding ways to reduce their fuel bills.

    74% thought that the Meadows is well served by public transport

  • Issue 5: A Pro-Active Community 56% of people felt that the primary school facilities are adequate 44% of people felt that secondary education provision was not

    adequate 39% did not think there were enough employment/training or

    volunteering opportunities, but 31% think there are 60% felt that health care was adequate and in the right place 75% of people said that Anti Social Behaviour affects the way in

    which they enjoy the Meadows 84% believed that drugs and crime are a major issue for the area 73% of people said that crime, or fear of crime, is a major issue for

    them
