OUR MISSION• TO INCREASE BREAST

CANCER AWARENESS

• TO PROVIDE HOPE ANDSUPPORT FOR THOSELIVING WITH THE IMPACTOF BREAST CANCER

• TO BRING AWARENESS TOOTHERS THAT THERE IS“LIFE AFTER BREASTCANCER”

The team formed in 1998 when the Guelphand Wellington Breast Cancer SupportGroup began paddling. We now serve all ofWaterloo and Wellington Regions.

We are a group of breast cancer survivorsand supporters from all walks of life.

Each of our paddlers is welcomed to theteam equally, regardless of paddling talentor ability to compete.

This floating support group promoteshealthy activity through regular practices, seasonal racing and off-season training.

Survivor paddling began with thegroundbreaking research of Dr. DonMcKenzie. He determined that repetitiveupper-body exercise discourageslymphedema and improves quality of lifein people who have had breast cancer.

BreastStrokes stays afloatthrough the generosity andefforts of people like you.
