The Shanghai French School, Lycée Français de Shanghai is a day-care school serving foreign students from 3 to 18 years old (kindergarten through high school).
We are proud to provide several linguistic programs with a multicultural teaching sta� and a high quality education.
Certi�ed by the French Ministry of education, our school belongs to the world largest network of 495 schools across 137 countries delivering a single curriculum and an education of excellence recognized worldwide.
It hosts approximately 1,500 students on two campuses: one in Qingpu and one in Pudong. A new one is under construction in Yangpu district.
STRATEGIC GOALS
Our school follows the French national curriculum enriched by a unique and challenging multilingual & multicultural program. Providing French-English and French-Chinese bilingual curricula, we prepare our students to excel in tomorrow’s internationalized & multicultural world.
Groups of competences and bridges across the language streams allow individual progress and tailor made integration into the best suitable linguistic programs.We also teach German, Spanish and Latin.
The Shanghai French School welcomes children with limited abilities in French and even the non French speakers. Our French as the language of instruction program provides tailored-made lessons to support the acquisition of the language and ease the transition into our curriculum. This program is delivered by certi�ed French as a Foreign Language teachers in small groups of 2 to 6 pupils.

As part of its mission to raise well-rounded individuals, the Shanghai French School nurtures the artistic, musical, sports… interests and talents of its students. Extra-curricular activities are available on some afternoons and/or after class. Our school sports teams participate in competitions in Shanghai (CISSA, SISAC,SSSA, SSSBL, SIYSL, SSL and ACAMIS), across China and abroad in partnership with other French schools of the Asia-Paci�c zone.
