Diet and Diabetes: For most people who don’t feel well, a visit to the doctor can diagnose and
fix the problem. But some diseases can be silent predators, offering few or no warning signs to
alert you early on that help is needed. One such disease is diabetes.
Not only does diabetes affect about 24 million people in the United States, but most people don’t
even know they have it. Processed foods along with items high in fat or sugar not only can
disrupt the balance between glucose and insulin, resulting in inflammation, but can also
contribute to risk factors such as being overweight.

Potassium: Of the world’s biggest problems is too much sodium along with too little potassium.
There have been many studies that suggest that boosting your potassium intake and less salt can
help prevent a stroke by at least 21%.
On average people should contain at least 4700 mg of potassium a day. Too much potassium can
be dangerous so choose wisely. If you stick to a certain intake these foods can help you reach
your goal.

Good Fats and Bad Fats: Most people look at fat as being bad, but there are also good fats.
Your body needs certain fats from foods, it’s one of the major source of energy. All fats have
similar chemical structure, the difference is the length and shape of their carbon chain. The worst
fat is trans-fat, this turns oils into solids and builds up in your body.
Eating rich foods increase the amount of harmful cholesterol in your body and reduces the
amount of beneficial cholesterol. Trans-fats create inflation around the heart and creates heart
disease.
