HOUSE STYLEThe house style within Q magazine consists of the red, black and white colour scheme and the small image of the front cover in the corner of the page. In each issue written features take up a third of the page with images from articles taking up the rest of the space. A review always features at the bottom.

IMAGERYThis page features multiple images of artists and articles. The size of the images signifies the importance of the article. All of the images used fit in with the red and black colour scheme signifying that this magazine features mostly rock music.

DESIGN PRINCIPLESThis contents page uses the rule of thirds to ensure that the page looks neat and precise. The page is split into three with features in one third and images taking up the other two. This page also uses the Guttenberg Design Principle as the main image on the page is featured in the primary optical area and the list of features are in the strong fallow area.

DESIGN BALANCEThis page is well balanced as the text and images are well spaced out with no overcrowding in certain areas. All areas of the page are covered.
