milford heritage series – the series is stitch bound to ensure photographs are archival safe. Our quality assurance is supported by a replacement guarantee on the binding and the knowledge that the paper used is both acid and lignin-free.

milford Classic series – this series offers an economic and contemporary range that preserves your photographs but still uses acid and lignin-free products.

explaining the terminology

drymount – drymount albums create an ambience which allows you to place your photographs as a display and for larger photographs. All drymount albums have glassine interleaves for the best protection of your photographs. Drymount albums require the use of a fixative to secure the photographs in place. We recommend the use of acid-free 3L adhesive products.

slip-In – slip-in albums are great for convenient storage of standard sized photographs. Slip-in albums have pockets for holding the photographs in place and the larger albums have a writing space to the left for noting those special memories.

acid Free – acids that remain in paper react with photographs over time and can cause degradation of the photo quality. All Milford albums are acid free. Always use acid free albums to ensure safe storage of precious memories.

lignin – lignin is a chemical in trees that is removed before the manufacture of the paper used in our albums. Lignin is an agent that causes the yellowing of photos over time if it remains in the paper. Milford albums are lignin free.

Binding – stitch bound means the pages are stitched together and fixed to the spine for durability and archival safe photo storage.

glassine Interleaf – glassine interleaves ensure a neutral medium between photographs, protecting them from reacting with each other when the album is closed, and ensuring long-lasting memories.
