Whether or not we as dentists are specialized in Implantology, success also smiles at us. The MIMI protocol (Minimally Invasive Implantation Method), which has proven its worth for 30 years, has been developed further. MIMI is efficiently performed without raising a mucoperiosteal flap, thus without incisions and sutures. Based on current findings on bone physiology, MIMI has been de-veloped further in the field of Dental Implantology. MIMI is suitable for both titanium and ceramic implants of Champions-Implants. This course focuses on the BioWin! ceramic implant and its use: equipped with a bonded bacteria-proof post, this im-plant system does not have a micro-gap. Instead of a flat surface, the BioWin! implant has a rough surface with deep lacunae, allowing for good osseointegration. Since 2004, long-term scientific studies have been conducted instead of launching new developments.

This one-day course provides you with the necessary skills required to place BioWin! ceramic implants. You will also have the opportunity to place BioWin! implants yourselves.

During the live surgeries and hands-on workshops, the focus of the course is also on the Smart Grinder, a device for pro-cessing the patient‘s extracted teeth into autologous bone graft chairside. The Smart Grinder allows for socket preser-vation or stabilization of the implants that are to be placed.

In addition to the innovative Smart Grinder and the reliable BioWin! ceramic implant, the course covers the use of the Champions handheld cold plasma device.

The long dwell time of the implants in the jaw is influenced by the denture as well as the secondary stability through the bone tissue healing on the implant surface (osseointegration).

Dentist and dental technician Gerhard Quasigroch, who has been a specialist of implant-supported dentures for several years, offers a prosthetic Power-Workshop with one-piece and two-piece Champions implants.
