Controversial Plays / Umpires Decisions
Only the manager will be allowed to discuss an umpire’s decision or
any play of a controversial nature. The home plate umpire will be in-
formed of the identity of each team’s manager prior to the start of the
game.
Required Uniform
Managers, Coaches and Players shall wear uniforms consistent with
Babe Ruth All-Star teams. No coaching shorts, player shorts, ragged
shirttails, etc... will be allowed. The commissioner assigned to the
tournament will make the final decision on uniforms. All players must
have the Babe Ruth patch, which is to be worn on the left sleeve, on
the left chest of a vest-type uniform, or on the cap and at least a six-
inch number on the back. NO MANAGERS, COACHES OR PLAY-
ERS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE FIELD WITHOUT THE
PATCH OR NUMBER ON THEIR UNIFORMS.
Catcher’s Gear
Catchers are required to wear a mask, helmet and protective cup dur-
ing warm-ups before and during the game. Also, any other player or
coach used to warm up a pitcher either between innings or in the bull-
pen should wear a helmet and mask.
Batting Helmets
An approved, double ear flap batting helmet must be worn at bat,
when Running the bases, in the on-deck circle, and by any other play-
er that might be coaching at first or third. As well as all bat persons.
Equipment
Bats, gloves, balls and other equipment must be kept in the dugout, in
their proper place, and never on the field. Discarding of any equipment
or other items in an unsportsmanlike manner can result in ejection from
the game. Authorized Players in dugout and on the Field.
Only players, managers, coaches and bat persons will be allowed in
each team’s dugout or on the field. Anyone in the dugout must be on a
league’s roster (except bat person) during the regular season and on
the tournament roster.

General Tournament Information Concessions / T-Shirts / Programs
A fully-stocked concession stand is located at the field. Tourna-
ment T-shirts and programs will be available for purchase. NO
OUTSIDE DRINKS, FOODS, ICE CHESTS WILL BE AL-
LOWED!
Safety
For the safety of our athletes, coaches, fans, and officials -
Great Plains Health & Therapy Center will be on sight for assistance.
Admission to Games Tournament
Tournament Pass (All games): Adult $25; Student (K-12): $20 One Day Pass: Adult $15; Student (K-12): $10
Ages 5 & Under: Free
Umpires
The umpires for these games will enforce all rules and regulations cov-
ered in the official baseball rulebook and the rules and regulations of
Babe Ruth Baseball. Please treat them with respect!
Timely Play
All efforts should be used to keep the tournament on schedule. Manag-
ers and coaches need to keep players moving at all times and avoid
unnecessary delays. Pre-game Infield Practice Teams will be given ten
(10) minutes of infield practice prior to each game with the visiting team taking infield first. Infield practice should begin immediately af-
ter the field maintenance crews have finished their work.
Sportsmanship
Any player, manager, coach or fan acting in an un-sportsmanlike man-
ner will be removed from the playing field and facilities immediately.
These individuals may also be subject to disqualification from the tour-
nament.

Spending Money
Each player should bring money to possibly purchase a shirt, conces-
sion items, souvenirs or any items they might need.
Host Team
The host team players must abide by the same rules as all other partici-
pating teams.

Regional Tournament. We hope your experience in

vide an assortment of amenities and multiple entertain-
ment options. We are looking forward to meeting you
and making your stay in north Platte an exciting and
wonderful experience. I will also create a private page
on Facebook, called “12-year-old Midwest Regionals”
that will host entertainment and hotel information, and
be more convenient for teams, parents and coaches to
ask questions and receive answers immediately!

Opening Ceremonies
All participants must attend the opening ceremonies and be dressed in
their game uniforms. Ceremonies will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday,
July 19th. All Participants should be at the field by 10:00 AM.
Game Time
Game lineups MUST BE turned in 1 hour prior to game time. If you do
soft toss drills, we request that you bring your own screen, and do not
hit into the fences.
Team Check-Out
Teams eliminated in afternoon play are expected to check out that same
day. Teams eliminated in evening play should check out the next morn-
ing. Each team should contact the Tournament Director and Tourna-
ment Commissioners before leaving.
Player Conduct
Players conduct must be exemplary at all times, both on and off the
field. If you should need any special assistance, please contact your
manager. Any misconduct could result in a player being disqualified
from the tournament.
Tournament Passes
Players and coaches will be given passes that will admit them to all
games. Be sure to carry these with you at all times. Free admittance
will not be allowed without the pass.
Tournament Awards
Team trophies will be awarded to the first and second place teams.
Umpires
The Umpires for these games will enforce all rules and regulations
covered in the official baseball rulebook and the rules and regulation
of Babe Ruth Baseball. Please treat them with respect at all times.

Player & Coach Information
North Platte Youth Baseball and the City of North Platte are proud to be
your hosts for this tournament. We hope you have a fund and enjoyable
stay with us. Your cooperation with all the rules and regulations isex-
pected and appreciated.
What to Wear
As Champions / representatives of their state, players are expected to
dress neatly at all times. You may, of course, dress casually and com-
fortably. Keep in mind, you are representing your home community at
all times, so you should dress appropriately.
Team Check-In
Team check-ins will be at the D&N Event Center on Wednesday, July
18th. We will be checking teams in starting at 2 pm.
Practice Fields
Practice will not be allowed on Field 2 at any time during the Tourna-
ment. The complex has several other fields that can be utilized for team
practices. They will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Try to limit
practice duration to no more than 1.5 hours.
Picnic
A picnic for all players, coaches and officials will be at 6:30 p.m. on
Wednesday, July 18th at the D&N Event Center.
Coaches Meeting / Breakfast
A mandatory coaches meeting will be held on Thursday, July 19th start-
ing at 8:30 a.m. The meeting will be held at The First Presbyterian
Church, and a breakfast will be served. The purpose of this meeting is
to go over ground rules and other tournament regulations. The meeting
is to be attended by the Regional Commissioners, Tournament Direc-
tors, Umpires, Managers and Coaches. Address: 1901 Leota Street
