2013 Convention | CONVENTION GUIDE | Naples 2013 This “Mini-Guide” provides our convention attendees the latest Convention Schedule and diagrams of the facilities at the Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club. The AHCA has enjoyed this site for two full decades and looks forward to coming back each year. Let’s go over some of the procedures, events and expectations of our 2013 AHCA Convention. k ID Badges: Gotta have ’em. Most convention events require proof that you have paid your membership dues and convention fee. Without having done so, you do not get a badge and you do not get into certain key events. Badges are obtained when you register. Badges are available for certain “guests” (family) but anyone who is part of the hockey community must be a paid member to attend. These badges will be checked starting with Thursday’s events. k Registration Opportunities: NCAA Division I conferences will get a chance to receive badges at their early-week meetings. Oth- ers can take care of properly registering at pre-convention Division I conference meetings, at the women’s Wednesday night event (sponsored by the AWHCA and JWHL), at Thursday morning’s Early Registration (sponsored by the Bauer) in the main lobby, or in the newer building before/during any of the Exhibitor Socials. Note: Convention Fee is $175 (after March 1); dues remain: $340 for a program’s NCAA Division I Staff (men or women) $210 for a program’s NCAA Division II-III Staff (men or women) $80 for an “Allied” member (someone employed in ice hockey) $25 for a Youth - Amateur - High School member k Which Events Have Costs?: Your convention fee gets you into all convention sessions with the following exceptions: Coach of the Year Celebrations (Women on Friday and Men on Saturday) — Active Members (NCAA coaches) can attend at no aditional costs. Their guests and all AHCA members in the Allied or Youth-Amateur-High School classifications must pay $40 per person for these events. ACHA (non-varsity) Members are charged a negotiated rate through the ACHA Officers. We accept cash, checks (payable to “AHCA”) and credit cards. There will be receipts available for anyone who needs them. k What “Goodies” Are Given Out?: Everyone likes gifts. We have a few items for attendees that are available only at the Exhibitor Socials. On Thursday night, all of the speaker handouts will be distributed via a flash drive sponsored by flexxCOACH. At Friday’s Exhibitor Social, the Convention Gift will be distributed. This is a nice T-shirt produced by Turfer and sponsored by both Turfer and Gladiator. At Saturday’s final Exhibitor Social, a few items will be raffled off. There will also be a few “giveaways” at the Hockey Coaches Care Reception, sponsored by Team USA Team Sports, Principal Financial Group and Warrior, on Thursday night. If you have a question..... The AHCA Officers and Governors are prepared to answer any questions that you might have. Look for the “OFFICER” badge worn by the AHCA staff. This “Mini-Guide” provides our convention attendees the latest Convention Schedule and diagrams of the facilities at the Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club.

Oth-ers can take care of properly registering at pre-convention Division I conference meetings, at the women’s Wednesday night event (sponsored by the AWHCA and JWHL), at Thursday morning’s Early Registration (sponsored by the Bauer) in the main lobby, or in the newer building before/during any of the Exhibitor Socials. Note: Convention Fee is $175 (after March 1); dues remain:

$340 for a program’s NCAA Division I Staff (men or women) $210 for a program’s NCAA Division II-III Staff (men or women) $80 for an “Allied” member (someone employed in ice hockey) $25 for a Youth - Amateur - High School member

k Which Events Have Costs?: Your convention fee gets you into all convention sessions with the following exceptions: Coach of the Year Celebrations (Women on Friday and Men on Saturday) — Active Members (NCAA coaches) can attend at no aditional costs.

There will also be a few “giveaways” at the Hockey Coaches Care Reception, sponsored by Team USA Team Sports, Principal Financial Group and Warrior, on Thursday night.

If you have a question.....The AHCA Officers and Governors are prepared to answer any questions that you might have. Look for the “OFFICER” badge worn by the AHCA staff.

about the trade show...The AHCA is pleased to welcome close to 70 exhibitors to the 2013 Trade Show in Naples. The AHCA Officers and Governors strongly encourage all AHCA Convention attendees to frequent the Trade Show during the three days — and nine hours — that the show is open. There are plenty of new products to see and plenty of fresh beer and soda to drink! Please note:• The scheduled hours for the show are: Thursday, May 2, 8:00-10:30 p.m.

Friday, May 3, 3:00-5:30 p.m.

Saturday, May 4, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

• If you were unable to register at any of the early registra-tion opportunities, you can pick up your ID badge and reg-ister for events such as the women’s (Friday) and men’s (Saturday) banquets at the Trade Show.

• You must wear your ID Badge to gain access to the Trade Show and all official convention sessions.

• The official convention handouts, which contains all the outlines from the various speakers and is sponsored by flexxCOACH will be given out in the form of a flash drive during Thursday night’s session.

• The official convention gift, a tee-shirt provided by TURFER and GLADIATOR will be given out during Friday afternoon’s session.

• Select raffle items provided by vendors will be given out at the final session on Saturday. You must be there to win.

• IMPORTANT: Our official vendors support the AHCA and go to great lengths and great expense to do so. If you are approached by representatives of businesses who are not attending the Convention as a paid vendor, we ask that you politely refrain from conducting on-site business with them. Many companies will try to conduct business at the convention without going through proper channels. This is not fair to those that do.

Please support our vendors! —–The AHCA Officers and Governors
