Onstage at Theatre Three: Amy’s View

(Dallas, Texas) Theatre Three’s 2009-2010 “Pursuit of Happiness” Season continues with the dramatic comedy, Amy’s View by David Hare. Everyone has a different idea of happiness and how to get it: liv-ing a full life onstage, winning a spelling bee, merging two very different lives for romantic success, surviving all of life’s changes with grace, cre-ating something entertaining at the very last minute, treasuring Amer-ica’s musical heritage, learning how to dance again, celebrating the holi-days with wild abandon, paying tribute to a legendary talent, finding that one true love, and conquering personal demons. Amy’s View begins previews on Thursday, December 31, 2009 and will close on Sunday, January 31, 2010. Esme Allen is a talented, esteemed actress with a full and busy life in the London theater world. Her greatest concern is not her career, but her daughter, Amy. Amy’s new boyfriend, Dominic, is intriguing, sexy, opinionated, ambitious, and his budding arrogance about artists disturbs Esme. Spanning from 1979 to 1995, Amy’s View explores the compli-cated relationship between a mother and daughter as they each try to define their own life’s “view”.

About Theatre Three’s production of Amy’s View: Jac Alder will direct this production. The cast includes Connie Coit as Esme Friedman, Sonny Franks as Frank Oddie, Jason Kennedy as Toby Cole, Terry McCracken as Evelyn Thomas, Kevin Moore as Dominic Tyghe, and Danielle Pickard as Amy Thomas. About The Texas Voices Founded in December 2002, this 24-voice ensemble celebrates the choral tradition with a rich variety of music, from sacred to secular, classic to contemporary. What is Cooperative Arts News?

The Mission: The CAN organization was created for the purpose of helping cooperative member arts organizations build audiences by supporting each other. CAN will send notifications to list members with news of member organizations' upcoming events and other arts news of interest. The Rules: 1. Since this is a "cooperative" of arts organizations supporting each other, member groups who

would like to post notices, agree to "receive" notifications from other member groups in return. Individuals will have the option at any time to "opt-out" if they choose not to receive future notifications by e-mailing the list manager.

2. In order to preserve the integrity and quality of the postings to this list and to prevent any unwanted "Spamming," all notifications that member groups want to send through this notification list must come through the list manager. Groups simply send an e-mail notification to the list manager with a descriptive write-up and it will be sent. If there are multiple notifications that need to go out, they may be grouped together to reduce the number of e-mails that are sent to the list.

If at anytime, you would like to be removed from this e-mail list or if you are a new organization that would like to join, please e-mail the list manager and your request will be acted upon in a timely manner. As always, thank-you for supporting the performing arts in the North Texas area! Regards, David Witherspoon List Manager [email protected]

Approximate Distribution: over 33,000 and growing!
