SquidSoap is a fun soap dispenser designed for teaching children healthy hand washing habits. When you push down on the SquidSoap pump, a marker puts a small ink mark on your hand. The ink is designed to wash off but not until you’ve washed your hands thoroughly. Normally it takes 15-20 seconds of thorough scrubbing to wash the ink mark off. This is the period that most professionals suggest you wash your hands.

What does caution look like?
This is an example of a cup’s skin changing into a thorn-like texture to prevent the user from handling an extremely hot cup of coffee. The heat-sensitive material causes the thorns to rise and visually informs the user that coffee may be too hot to handle. This model falls under my texture study expressing aggression.

Process
•Pre-stress rebar before pouring concrete •Pre-stressed bolts ,Pre-shrunk jeans •Buffer a solution to prevent harm from extremes of pH •Make clay pigeons out of ice or dung in order that they do not have to be collected afterwards •Use masking tape when painting difficult edges •Masking objects before harmful exposure: Use a lead apron on parts of the body not being exposed to X-rays •Pre-pasted wall paper ,Sterilize all instruments needed for a surgical procedure,Self-adhesive stamps •Self-tapping screws, Manufacture flow-lines •Assembly lines using pre-assembled sub-assemblies •Pre-deposited blade in a surgery cast facilitates removal •Magnetic strip on photographic film that directs the developer to compensate for poor exposure , Back-up parachute •Dual channel control system, Air-bag in a car, Spare wheel •Relief valve, Emergency lighting circuit , Battery back-up •Automatic save operations performed by computer programs •Zip-files , Mask borders of objects to be painted, use stencils •Crash barriers on motorways•Tamper proof packaging - clip-tops, tear-tabs, etc

Adapt to different use circumstances
Change surface shape
Have a more compact folding
Have a multi-way switching
Increase efficiency Increase storage compactability
Make it easier to operateMake it more presentable
Add a new function
Create the impression of reduced size Improve impact load, damage resistance
Flexibility
BENEFITS of FLEXIBILITY
Product• Bi-furcated bicycle saddle • Articulated lorry • Folding chair/mobile phone/laptop/etc • Brush seals • Flexible drinking straws• Packaging that moulds into your hand shape• Pepper/coffee/etc grinder• Fold-out product labelling allows supply of
more product information• Articulated spoon - folds up to allow more
compact packaging • Packaging that, once used, is easily folded up
for easy storage and recycling. • Collapsible hose is flexible in use, and has
additional flexibility of cross-section to make it easier to store
• Flexible drive allows motion to be translated around bends
• Use different stiffness fibres in toothbrush
Process• Increase the flexibility of
sauces, meals etc.• Customisable sauces- basic
tomato sauce, with two choices of mix within the same packet to suit different same household tastes??
• Stir contents of a pan to prevent sticking
• Adjustable steering wheel (or seat, or back support, or mirror position...)
• Loose (sand) particles inside a tyre give it self-balancing properties
• Gel fillings inside seat allow it to adapt to user
