Sohrab Sitaram is one of the most recognized names in the

hospitality industry–and has been associated with setting up some of

the most successful restaurants and bars–, Tabularasa, Laid Back

Waters,Shalom ,Italic, Chi Kitchen and Bar, No escape, Shalom Goa,

Smoke Signals etc to name a few. In his 16 years of work experience

he has seen the food & beverage industry from the eyes of an

employee, an investor and as a consultant and has also written articles

for popular food & beverage magazine.

Sohrab worked for 6 years with the Taj group of hotels and then

entered the field of stand alone restaurants; he has successfully spent

more than 10 years in the stand alone industry – thus a total work

experience of more than 16 years in the hospitality industry. Sohrab

restaurants play’s hosts to some of the most successful socialites,

celebrities, bollywood stars, tv stars, sports personalities , fashion

designers, models, CEO’s, Industrialists and politicians andheis well

networked with the most successful people in India.

Sohrab is a pioneer in the stand alone field – he has always strived to

be a leader in lifestyle and casual dining restaurant’s establishing

extremely strong USP’s– be it a lounge bar, small plate dining,

restaurants with positive energies and good chi and restaurants which

are based on technology and R&D. Currently Sohrab Sitaram is the

founder/CEO/Director of Square root hospitalities pvt. Ltd. and MGS

Hospitalities pvt. Ltd. He is also the founder and director of SS

Enterprises (a restaurant consultancy companies which undertakes all

the turnkey projects for restaurants).

This casual pan asian dining restaurant and bar is based on the belief

that a“man is nothing but the sum of the food he puts in his body and

the thoughts that flow in his mind”. It boasts of the finest dishes from

Vietnam. Malaysia, Thailand, Japan and China and has a huge variety of

dimsums and teas. In short at Chi “we weave ordinary South East Asian

way of life into dining experiences”. This award winning restaurant is

also very popular for its takeaways and home delivery.

at Safdarjung Development Area.
