1. On MLQ homepage, www.mlq.com.au, click the eMLQ icon, first of three atop right corner.

2. Login to eMLQOn http://www.mlq.com.au/emlq/index.html, log into Facilitator Login, using your unique eMLQ Facilitator username & password.

This will take you to your List Of Projects.

3. Click My Details to check that your details, especially your e-mail address is correct. All project e-mails will go to the address detailed.

4. Click Add Project to set up a new project.

Hint:

In My Details, you have the option to change your username and password to something that you can recall more easily.

For National Projects Only5. Add Project Name (Please do not use

punctuation marks.)6. Choose between a National (Market

Segment Norms) or International (User-defined Norms). If National, ……

7. Add number of Leaders (It is always better to overstate your Leaders in case you need to add more later.

8. Add due date (must use dd/mm/yyyy format.)

9. Choose format of Report delivery (email v hard copy)

10. Select country.11. Select the relevant Market Segment.12. Select your choice of Norm to be

displayed (Company or Market Segment)

13. Tick Additional custom questionnaire box ONLY if you intend to do so. (Adding the additional questionnaire is a separate exercise.)

14. Click Add Project Details at bottom of page.

Alternatively, for International Projects15. Add Project Name (Please do not use

punctuation marks.) as in #5.16. Choose International for Project Type.17. Specify the number of items in

Segment 1 (E.g., if you segment according to geography, Asia, Africa, Europe would equate to 3 items.

18. Specify the number of items in Segment 2, This is optional. (If you segment according to department, Sales, Production, Administration would equate to 3 items.)

19. Add number of Leaders.20. Add due date in dd/mm/yyyy format.21. Choose format of Report delivery

(email v hard copy)22. Tick Additional custom questionnaire

24. Click Accept Details once you have confirmed the Project details.

25. You will now see your new project added.

For International Projects, you will now need to specify your Segments.

To do so, click the Edit button shown above.

If you have chosen a National project type, go directly to Step 27.

26. Click the Add/Edit button for each of Segment 1 & 2 to define your segments.

Make sure that you click Save after entering each segment item.

Then return to your List of Projects by clicking on Project Listing.

If you have included an Extra Questionnaire in your MLQ Project, you will now need to set this up.

To do so, 27. Click the Extra Test Button at the end of the row.

If you do not have an Extra Questionnaire, go to Step 44.

28. Enter a Test Name (this will appear at the top of the Extension Questionnaire.29. Specify the number of Scaled Sections.30. Specify the number of Open-ended Text Questions (This is optional with a minimum zero.)31. Enter Test Instructions.32. Click Save Changes.

33. You now need to add the scaled sections. To do so, click Add Sections.

34. Specify the Scales quantity. If the questions require a True/False response only, then the Scale should be 2.

If the questions require a Never/Sometimes/Often/Always response, then the Scale should be 4.

35. Specify the number of Rater & Leader questions for each Section, then click Save.

36. You will now need to Edit each section.

37. Add Scales.

38. Add your Rater Questions.

39. Add your Leader Questions.

Your Scaled Section should now look like this.

If so,

40. Click Section Listing.

41. You now need to add your Open-ended Text questions. Click Add Open Questions.

42. Add the Open-ended Text Questions, then click Save.

43. Your completed Multiscale ExtensionQuestionnaire phase is now done.

Click Project Listing.

44. You now may wish to customise your email notifications & reminders to Leaders & Raters. Click the Emails button.

45. You may now click any oneof the Notify or Remind buttonsFor Leaders or Raters.

46. You can now customise the text within the Editable Content section to give “project specific” details.

Please do not alter any text in the Non-editable Content as this will negatively affect the technical workings of the project.

Click Save, at bottom.

You can do this for each of the Notification & Reminder emails for Leader & Rater.

47. On your Project Listing, click Leaders.

48. Then, click Add Leaders. Remember that the maximum number of Leaders will be determined by the number of Leaders that you specified back in Step 7.

Hint:In the early, strategic level of project planning you will need to make a decision as to whether it will be you, the Facilitator, or the Leader/s that will input the list of Raters into the eMLQ. This will impact on the next step, #49.

49. For National projects, Leaders details are entered, as per prescribed formats.Please remember to enter Due Date in dd/mm/yyyy format.Also, please “tick” each box if you wish each Leader/s to nominate their own Raters.

50. For an International project, remember to select the correct segments that apply to that Leader.Don’t forget to click Save details at bottom.

51. Click Save Details and this will send Leader Notification emails.

52. Click Leaders again to reveal the List of Leaders.

53. The List of Leaders provides details including whether they have completed their own self-rating.It also provides Options for:Adding Raters for the Leader, To edit the Leader, Delete Leader, or Send the Leader a Reminder.

54. To add a rater, click the Raters button for a specified Leader.

55. To add a rater, you must first enter a Response Due Date then click Set Due Date. ( This date will then appear in the Rater Notifications as the Due Date for their responses.)

56. Click the Add Raters button.

57. You can now add up to 24 raters for each Leader, specifying whether each rater is from the Above, Peer, Below or Other Levels. Once entered, click Save Details at bottom of page. This sends the Rater Notifications.

Hint: Remember, a minimum of 3 actual responses from any of the Peer, Below or Other groups, otherwise Informed Consent must be obtained.

58. On the Leaders Listing, click on Raters again. You will see a full display for that Rater including Options of Edit, Delete or Resend Email.

To send a Reminder, tick in the box of the Raters you wish to remind, then click the Send Reminder to Selected Raters.

Hint: If you have opted for the Leaders to nominate their own raters, please note that the Approved column will indicate “No”. You, as Facilitator, will need to approve the Raters.This step is in place so that you can prevent Informed Consent difficulties.If satisfied with the Raters Listing, click Approve Raters. This will send off the Rater Notification emails.

59. You can check the status of any project’s Leader & Rater responses by clicking the Project Status button.

60. This allows you to also Check & Request the MLQ Report for that Leader by clicking that button.It will check if Informed Consent is required for any of the Raters. It includes a mechanism for seeking Consent from those Raters if you opt to do so.

Hint: If confronted with Informed Consent difficulties, you have 3 options:1. Seek the Consent of the outstanding rater/s through the aforementioned mechanism.2. Merge the outstanding rater/s into another group.3. Delete the outstanding rater/s.

61. If No Consent is required, click the Submit Data for Report button.

From this point, your MLQ Administrator will receive your Request and process your MLQ Report.
