CORE TRAX™ (UNI TRAX 1000™ & MAXX TRAX 2000™ SERIES)

Q: What is the product load rating (Useful Working Load)? • Uni Trax 1000™ has a useful working load of 650 lbs per point. • Maxx Trax 2000™ Series has a useful working load of 900 lbs per point.

Q: What is it made of? • Uni Trax 1000™: Aviation grade aluminum; 6061 T6. • Maxx Trax 2000™: Aviation grade aluminum; 6061 T6. Q: What is the finish type? • Uni Trax 1000™: Durable powder coat finish; Silver or Black, Mill (no finish) is

available. Q: Where can the Core Trax™ be installed?

Q: What if I have a drop-in style bed liner, wood flooring, composite bed etc? As there are endless uses for the Core Trax™ systems as well as substrates to attach them to and methods to do so; we will discuss just a few: • Drop-In-Liners: Come in two distinct styles: over-the-bedrail and under-the-

bedrail. Both are adaptable however you may have more options with the under-the-rail styles. (See our Product Install Page)

• Wood Floors: Yes they present options such as grooving the wood to let the Trax sit flush (recessed). Be sure when installing the Trax to use through bolts and steel plates to reinforce the hardware from pulling through the flooring.

• Composite Beds: Over the last few years OEMs have increasingly used these types of beds. The answer is yes; we have had many consumers that have very successful installs of Core Trax™ Systems. In most cases they have used the standard install method; however composites are generally designed whereby they have limited access to the back/underside of the bed. When confronted with this challenge we recommend using Nutserts (See our Product Install Page) or a change of location for the Trax. Note: It is always recommended that backing washers or steel plates are used to distribute the load; whereby reducing the



stress on the through bolts and avoid cracking of the composite material. We do not suggest using sheet metal screws on composites.

Q: What if I cannot access the back side of the substrate (mount surface) when installing Core Trax™? (See our Product Install Page) An optional method of installing Core Trax™ can be used when there is no ability for accessing the opposite end of the bolt to thread the nut and washer. There is a product called “Nutsert and/or Jack Nut” whereby you drill a hole and slip the Nutsert into the hole. Depending on what type of Nutsert/Jack Nut is used, you either use a “rivet” type gun to compress the Nutsert or with other types you are able to bolt in place. In all cases, it is the flaring of the back side of the Nutsert/Jack Nut (like a butterfly nut) that provides a threaded port to bolt into.
