Public speaking success!Congratulations to our public speakers and to all those parents and staff who ran a very successful public speaking competition yesterday. Our guests were greeted by our student leaders and enjoyed Corowa Public School's hospitality with refreshments supplied by our P&C committee. Mrs Creamer presented our school perfectly with a venue fit out to showcase our motto of ‘Striving Always’.

Congratulations to Lucas Bellette on being named the overall winner and Portia Johnston for being highly commended!

Welcome Mrs Parker and farewell Mr BoyerToday we welcome Ms Dianne Parker to our teaching team as she takes the reins of the Echidna class. Mr Boyer has had to move on, for personal reasons, and we wish him all the best for his future endeavours. Ms Parker comes to us from Young and has many years of experience. Please make her feel welcome!

Influenza at schoolWe have had many cases of influenza A reported at the

school recently. In an effort to minimize the spread, we encourage all parents to monitor students closely and if they are not well, to please keep them at home to recuperate. We are providing as much support and knowledge as possible, but are unable to quarantine to prevent the spread further.

Crazy Hair Day and Meerkat ProductionsTomorrow we are hosting Meerkat Productions and holding a Crazy Hair Day at school, so I hope students are ready for a big day and that parents get a bit creative with your children’s hair!

Break changes on FridayPlease be aware that our break times will be different tomorrow to accommodate Meerkat Productions. For Friday only, recess will begin at 10.30am and lunch will begin at 1.05pm. Due to the time constraints, students placing lunch and recess orders will have their bigger meal at 1.05pm. Dancing all the way to Riverina Dance FestivalCorowa Public School is very proud to announce that Millie Doody, Aria Glare, Regan Harper, Evelyn Hooper and Mia Howard will representing our school at the Riverina Dance Festival tomorrow!

These girls have been selected to dance as part of the Albury Junior Dance Ensemble. What a fantastic effort!

Spectacular Spelling BeeOver the past two weeks, Mrs Creamer has conducted the school finals of the Premier’s spelling Bee. Last week we announced that Aria Glare and Evelyn Hooper won the Stage 3 final.
