Book Week spectacular!We celebrated literature, books and the super powers they give us this week for Book Week! All of the costumes at our Book Week parade were outstanding! Well done to students and parents on all their efforts and thank you

Wonderful Book Week!We have celebrated Book Week with style this week! Congratulations to all students and staff on your tremendous costumes and learning. It was a pleasure to watch the parade on Tuesday and see the sense of pride, community involvement and passion that each of you brought to the event.
Art Show successOur Art Show was a huge success, with many families braving the cooler weather to browse our creative pieces of art. Many excited collectors will be taking their purchases home on Friday to hang proudly in their home. We know that some families were unable to attend the Art Show and to avoid any disappointment, we encourage you to contact the school to discuss.
All money raised from our show will go towards the purchasing of extra resources for students to use in their classrooms.
Thank you for votingThank you to everyone who voted for our ‘Kid’s Shed’ project on the My Community Project website. Hopefully we will be successful in securing funding through this avenue, but if not, we will persist in creating this space as it will be a valuable asset to the school and the community.
Drop off zone reminderJust a reminder about our 'kiss and drop' zone at the front of the school. To avoid congestion in the school car park, please do not park in this designated spot as it is a drop off point only.
Above and beyond for Book WeekThank you to Mrs Brewster, Mrs Creamer, Mrs Kerrie Kuschert, Mrs Sue Poidevin and Mrs Cindy Weidner for your extra support this week to ensure the success of our Book Week Parade and Art Show.

Flying Foxes focus on The FeatherAfter reading Margaret Wild's 'The Feather' on Thursday, Flying Fox students wrote a brief summary and compared
it to books they have previously read.
Lucas competes in public speaking regional finalNext week will wish good luck to Year 3 student, Lucas Bellette, as he heads to Sturt Public School (Wagga Wagga) to compete at the Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking regional final. The competition will begin at 10am on Monday 26 August.
We're very proud of all your efforts, Lucas - we look forward to hearing your results!
A variety of talents at CHSOur Year 5-6 students went to Corowa High School on Wednesday morning to view the Variety Night matinee performance. It was a fantastic show that left many of our students pining for their own chance to perform!

Intergenerational friendsMrs Thompson and Mrs Grigg took small group of students to the Corowa Southern Cross Care home on Thursday!
The purpose of the trip was to foster intergenerational friendships between students and residents.
Students truly displayed our school values of Care, Respect and Responsibility. We are very proud of them!
Amazing Art ShowThank you to all of the families that supported the school by attending our Art Show on Tuesday.
