The Big Freeze event of jumping into that bitterly cold pool full of ice is also supported by the Big Freezebeanies. These were available for students to purchase of which all funds go straight to Motor Neuron Disease Research. In support of this, the School Council have approved the Big Freeze beanies to join the dark grey or navy beanies as part of the winter uniform. The Uniform Policy will be updated and further endorsed next term. As we near the end of semester, you will receive your childs semester report. In light of this and a recommendation from parents, whilst new staff have been introduced in occasional previous KITs, we have supplied all of our staff photos and general roles on the next page. This will assist our long-standing and new parents and carers to put faces to the names that appear in reports or future communication. You will notice that some of our staff may hide from the camera, but here we have attempted to get a shot of all of them. I hope this assists you in putting faces to their names. I will continue to do the occasional write up of individual staff as I did last year so you can understand the staff that help shape our amazing college. NDIS COMMUNITY FORUM - ALL WELCOME! Next Wednesday 27th June, 3:00pm at the Lacey Learning Centre - Sacred Heart School, the community, parents, education staff will have an opportunity to hear from NDIS and Disability Employment Service representatives. This will be an informal conversation which will allow for questioning and the sharing of experiences, ideas and resources. External support services will also be present to engage with parents through discussion and resource support/recommendations. I recommend that any parent/carer that have children with, or live themselves with a disability, attend this great opportunity for all of us to become more informed. If you would like to discuss your NDIS experiences as support for attending parents/carers, please give your name and best contact number to the College office. I will give this to Sacred Heart of which they will call you and happily accept your input. Please RSVP the COLLEGE OFFICE by TUESDAY 26TH JUNE. Year 12 Prepare for Future Aspirations Senior students have been given a thorough workshop on resume writing as they neared the preparation stages for the next chapter of their life. This is an unnerving time for some students however, with the strongest of support, they are delivered workshops to assist them in navigating and preparing through the transition of secondary schooling to post-school adventures. Whether it be work placement, tertiary studies, or adventurous endeavours, the resume workshops (among many others) works towards increasing their opportunity and giving students the skills to, through resume and cover letter writing, encapsulate their skills and positive attributes to a future employer or learning institution. Students were heavily engaged and worked tediously on their resumes into the late hours of Tuesday night ensuring their best selves were reflected. Well done to all students that participated and have consistently sought critical feedback, and moreover, acted on this advice. Thank you to Mrs Sarah Klippel who has been tirelessly working hard in giving individual and constructive feedback to ensure every student has the best chance towards their aspirations. However, as all students are told, if not first successful, try, try again. This is life s learnings we are all dealt with. With hard work and dedication, every goal is achievable. An Amazing Array of Work Placement Sought by the 2018 Year 10 Students Also preparing for work readiness, our Year 10s have shown their dedication towards their aspirations with an amazing variation of work experience activities taking place. From education, health, trade and local industries, to out of the squareopportunities that our Year 10’s have followed up and put in place. Alburys airport control tower, police services, jewellery design, DELWP, Parkes Observatory (the Dish), Victorian Fisheries Authority, have been sought by our Year 10s and on Nikki Nugents follow-ups with businesses and students, it seems our Year 10s are very happy with their placements. Well done to our Year 10s that have really taken up this great opportunity to experience their potential future aspirations. Further photos and examples will follow next week. Dear Parents/Guardians, It has been great to see our student leaders working hard towards their fund raising endeavours for Motor Neuron Disease (MND) research. The Big Freeze event of jumping into that bitterly cold pool full of ice is also supported by the ‘Big Freeze’ beanies. These were available for students to purchase of which all funds go straight to Motor Neuron Disease Research. In support of this, the School Council have approved the Big Freeze beanies to join the dark grey or navy beanies as part of the winter uniform. The Uniform Policy will be updated and further endorsed next term.

As we near the end of semester, you will receive your child’s semester report.

Next Wednesday 27th June, 3:00pm at the Lacey Learning Centre - Sacred Heart School,

the community, parents, education staff will have an opportunity to hear from NDIS and Disability Employment Service representatives. This will be an informal

conversation which will allow for questioning and the sharing of experiences, ideas and resources. I recommend that any parent/carer that have children with, or live themselves with a disability, attend this great opportunity for all of us to become more informed. If you would like to discuss your NDIS experiences as support for

attending parents/carers, please give your name and best contact number to the College office. I will give this to Sacred Heart of which they will call you and

happily accept your input. Please RSVP the COLLEGE OFFICE by TUESDAY 26TH JUNE.

F-4 HAPPENINGS

Every Monday in Term 2

All students at the Junior Campus will be having an assembly in

the Library from 1.40pm—2.05pm. All parents are welcome to

attend.

Friday 29th June - Big Freeze

All the students from Foundation to Year

caused to the books.

My friends at school

are really cool,

Gemma has a horse

she likes to write codes in morse,

Lexie is never grumpy

her skull is very lumpy

Zoe is really smart

she is very good at art

Kayla likes the bush

but sometimes she needs a push

Chloe likes drawing

although she can lay flooring

Paige likes to sing

but she doesn't have much bling

Makayla loves unicorns

but she hates their horrible horns

April likes to eat

but she doesn't like meat

I like them all best

but they can be a pest

By Charlotte Findlay

Isabelle goes to the creek

She goes there every week

Isabelle likes to catch a fish

Isabelle eats it off a dish

By Isabelle McVean

My Cats

Delany has two little cats

Both of them wear little hats

Both of the cats like to run

They like to run for fun in the sun

They play catch with a ball

One day they threw it over the wall

They climb the wall but oh dear they fell

They fell onto a big brass bell

Both the cats began to yell

They were on a farm

So they were calm
