Corvallis: A Unique Quality of Life
The beautiful Oregon State University campus is in the heart of Corvallis and the home of over 26,000
students and world-class researchers.
Corvallis is a friendly college town with 55,000 residents ...
... and a great place to raise a family.
There's a lot to do around Corvallis, whether it's going for around of golf in one of the city's four courses ...
or enjoying the sights, smells, and sounds at the weekly farmers market.
We have the pleasure of having such easy access to hundreds of miles of forest and farm roads ...
... and acres of parks where activities abound.
Only a short distance away we walk through the famous vineyards of the Willamette Valley. After all, this is the
same valley that drew the original pioneers.
Perhaps you are an explorer who thrills at the chance to see what exists on the other side of the valley,
beyond the mountains ...
But why waste a day just looking when the Cascade Mountains stretch the entire length of Oregon... and
you can play in the snow nine months out of the year.
Or maybe you'd rather be a little more active? (Oregon does have a river or two you might play on.)
Or if a more soothing water sport is for you, you can spend a day fishing for steelhead.
Or perhaps it is the serenity of Oregon's ocean beaches — hundreds of miles of peaceful beauty ...
Then again, there is always Crater Lake — a magic wonder inside an ancient volcano at the top of the
Cascades mountain range.
... and enjoy the scenery from high above it all.
Or you could cross over the Cascades and spend your day climbing rocks in Oregon's
desert country.
But just 90 minutes away from Corvallis is Portland and the Silicon Forest, home to technology
heavyweights like Intel and Tektronix.
When the pressures of modern life begin to make us weary, it's an undeniable comfort to be able to come back to Corvallis, where you can enjoy the small town
atmosphere ...
... where you can participate in celebrations like the annual da Vinci Days kinetic sculpture race.
But for those of us who already live and work in the heart of the Willamette Valley, one of the
best things we did today... was just come home.
