COSHH Awareness for Quarry Operatives Introduction: This course has been specifically designed for those persons who either handle or supervise the handling of any/all hazardous substances within a quarrying environment, to assist them to gain a clear practical understanding of all relevant Regulations which will enable them to implement the procedural controls necessary to ensure company compliance. Objectives: To provide delegates with a general overview and understanding of the COSHH Regulations, ACoP, guidance and associated legislation. To identify and provide information on current legislative requirements that must be achieved as a minimal requirement. Who Should Attend: All quarry personnel who handle, or have responsibility for the control of hazardous substances within the workplace. Programme: The objectives of COSHH Identify the general requirements of COSHH Manufacturers Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and their relevance WEL’s, EH40 and its use in the provision of suitable and sufficient assessments A strategy for the carrying out of COSHH Assessments Provision of control measures Use and maintenance of control measures Monitoring for exposure Provision of health surveillance Training of employees Duration: 1 Day NOTE: On completion of the course, delegates will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
