The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) has confirmed that from 8th June 2015 the photocard licence counterpart will be abolished.This means that endorsements and penalty points will no longer be recorded on paper driving licences or counterparts, and employers will no longer be able to manually check a driver’s licence.
