Im headed for Chteaux de Brissac for two weeks for alittle R and R my friend. I just spent sixdays in Gay Puree, and I mean Gay Puree if you know what I mean. I had a great time enjoying

the nightlife, the food, museums and the women here, now its time for me to rest up before I

head for home. So Ill see you in two weeks my friend. (Pim grabs the keys and her bags and

heads out the door and gets in the car and drives off.)

At the chteaux de Brissac, Andrew and Alex having their breakfast outside the patio deck near

the garden.

AndrewSo what do you have plan for yourself today, my dear?

Alexandria

I was hoping wed do something together, I mean youve been going non-stop since two days

ago. The only time weve spent together was the day we arrived and the next day we went into

town that night for dinner and dancing.

Andrew

So what did you have in mind?

Alexandria

Well I thought we could go for a drive in the country and stop for a picnic or maybe we could go

horse back riding along the lake or.

Andrew

Maybe tomorrow honey, Ive got to go into Saumur for another business meeting, were getting

close to closing this deal. (stops texting in his black berry, looks at his watch, drinks another

swallow of the coffee.) Ive got to run, see you lateron this evening. (He gives her a kiss and

leaves.) Im sorry, I promise Ill make it up to you tomorrow and the rest of this week ok.

One of the guest, a woman by the name of Mrs. Barneswood comes by and sees Andrew run off.

Good Morning Mrs. Barneswood. Can you see to it that you keep Alex entertain today. Thankyou.

Im afraid so Mrs. Barneswood, there seems to be no stopping him. (alittle upset in the face.)

Please do, have a seat. (The waiter comes by, and Mrs. Barneswood just ask for black coffee, afruit cup and two slices toast.)

Looks like thats all hes been doing ever since the two of you arrived here. Busy, busy runningand rushing off to meetings. Tell me my dear what business is your husband in?

Hes a land developer for a real estate firm in London. But he does business outside of Englandas well. Before we left to go on this vacation, he was giving this small project to work on, but he

told me it wasnt going to take up so much time, just acouple of days and that was it. But so far

its been two days, Mrs. Barneswood two long days. This Friday is are 5th

year anniversary, he

said he has special plans and a surprise for the two of us, so well see. ( she starts to cry)

Mrs. BarneswoodThere there my dear, it will be alright youll see, hes just young and ambiguous and hes just

trying to do well and give you a nice comfortable life thats all.

I know I know Mrs. Barneswood, I just wanted him and I to at least spend some more time

together without the phone ringing and him rushing off all the time. (she blows her nose.)

Mrs. Barneswood

My husband Jack, was the same way at Andrewss age. Wanted to take on the world and leavehis mark on it. He did, along with three mistresses, and three more children along with the two

he had by me. Somehow it all workout. It killed him eventually though. Die of a heart attack,while going after mistress number four.

Its okay, he left a will with a nice sizable sum for everybody, me the mistresses and the children.

Of course, me being his wife I got the larger share. (she smiles at Alex) come on my dear lets seewhat we can do together to keep ourselves busy. (they both get up from the table and head

inside.)

Pim Strike, finally arrives at the chteaux, drives up the front entrance, the bell hop grabs her

bags. Pim hands the keys to the parking attendant. She walks inside towards the receptions deck,

stops looks around, up at the ceiling, takes it all in. Nice place she says to herself.

Bonjour Mademoiselle (he smiles)

PimBonjour, I have a reservation the name is Pym Strike. (the clerk checks on the computer.)

Deck Clerk

Ah yes, a reservation for one in the blue room for two weeks. May I have your passport and the

credit card youll be using. (Pym gives him the card and passport.) Thank you Ms. Ill just set

these up for you, get your key and have a bell hop handle your luggage.

(the car attendent comes in and hands her the keys to the jaguar and leaves.)

Merci, tell me is the place full this week?

Deck ClerkNo, is to early in the season usually it starts to get busy starting in June all the way into

September. Right now its just nine guest, three of which are married and the rest are single. You

will get a chance to meet them this evening at 60clock, thats when dinner starts and everyevening as well. Ok here you go Ms. Strike, your room is 23 down the corridor and on your left,

the bell hop will show you the way. (he rings for the bell hop; he comes and takes the luggage.)

Yes could you take Ms. Strike to her room, please.

Pym

Wow this is a beautiful place, tell me are the owners on the premises, will I be able to meetthem?

Bell hop

Yes Ms. Actually youll be seeing them tonight. They sometimes dine with the guest. So youllbe able to meet them and the other guest.

No no Ms., is not formal at all, just nice casual, dress slacks or skirt nothing fancy.

Ok thanks for the heads up.

Your quite alright Ms, here you go. (he opens the door to the room, the key is alittle tricky but he

finally gets it open. He places her luggage on the luggage stand and heads towards the window to

draw open the drapes and opens the window which leads to the deck. All of a sudden an object

comes flying in the room, its a croquet ball.) Watch out Ms!, are you alright. Im sorry, of my

God. (outside a voice yells in the window)

Alexandria

Im so sorry are you alright in there? (Pym picks up the wooden ball, tosses it up in the air in herhands afew times and walks outside the window/balcony.)

PymYou have a strong arm there.(Pym looks at Alex and tosses the ball to her.)

Alex

Thank you, I guess I dont know my own strength.

Pym

I guess not. So youre a guest here as well?

Alexandria

Yes me and my husband.

Pym

Oh, well I guess Ill see you two later for dinner then. ( Alex smiles then leaves, Pym looks on at

her. Now thats one beautiful butterfly. Married a husband, thats one lucky guy. ( Pym turns tothe bell hop, gives him afew euro dollars.) Here you go.

Merci, Mademoiselle, Merci. (Pym begins to unpack and gets settle in.)

Pym wakes up from her nap, freshens up and comes out her room to get some lunch in the diningroom. She gets a chicken salad and a glass of white wine and water. She eats outside on the

patio deck over looking the gardens. She reads the broucher on what the chateaux has to offer.

After lunch she gets a book to read and walks around where she spots the lake with a row boat in

the water. She gets in laids down and starts to read. Time pasts, all of a sudden Pym falls asleepsuddenly a dog comes by and unties the boat and it starts to drift along side the end of the lake

and land. Alexandria is sitting on a bench, writing in her diary. She suddenly sees the boat adrift

and begins to call out to Pym.

Alexandria

Hello, Ms Ms wake up wake up there your drifting! ( Pym wakes up and starts to move alittle in

the boat.)

Pym

Oh shoot, how did I get out here. ( Pym takes the one oar and paddles towards land.)

Alexandria

Yes keep paddling this way and stick the oar out towards me and Ill pull you and the boat over.

( Pym paddles enough in that Alex is able to grab hold the other end of the oar to pull her over

towards land. Pym gets out of the boat and the two of them pull the boat up alittle on land so it

wont drift down the lake.)

Pym

Wow, thanks. Man how did that happen, when I got in that thing it was tied up tight! If you

hadnt seen me float by I probable would have been floating down the river.

Alexandria

Or out to sea. (She laughs alittle)

Pym

Yeah. ( they both look at each other and laugh)

They both walk towards the bench to sit down

Oh---- thats nice, Ive been there acouple of times with my husband. I like it there, I love the

theater, restaurants and the stores. What I didnt like was the noise, the fast pace and so manyhomeless people. Thats what I dont understand, for a country that has so much that is rich,

why are there so many homeless people?

I guess a lot of them had careers but the pressures of life got to them and for some others they

probable fell on hard times, drugs, family abuse and for the rest I dont know what their story is.

Hmm I guess so, thats too bad.

Im a trader for Bowmans Consultant firm, I trade stocks, options and commodities on the openmarket.

AlexandriaAh, so your here on holiday?

Yeah, I spent five days in Paris with some friends who live here; they showed me a great time.

Im definitely coming back before the year is out.

So what sites did you see while you were in Paris.

The Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Notre Dame, I took a boat ride on the Seine River, I even

ballooned over some parts of Paris, my friend has a friend who owns a hot air balloon company.I ate at some nice restaurants, drink a lot and danced a lot. So I came here to get some R and R,

this is the last leg of my trip.

AlexandriaWow, you did quite abit in Paris. I wish I can say the same for myself. So how long are you

going to be here?

Two weeks. So how long are you and your man going to be here?

Three weeks.

Hmm, so what did you mean you cant say the same for yourself, have you been enjoyingyourself here, because this place looks like theres a lot to do, the chateaux is breathtaking, this

lake, the beautiful sunshine, wine, pool. I mean you cant ask for anything better. So where isyour man. (looking around) he should be here with you enjoying this, you two should be driving

or on a picnic somewhere private feeding each other strawberries and chocolate. Kissing andsnuggling up under each other.

AlexandriaI know, and all that sounds so so nice the way you said it. (she looks at Pym, with sadness in her

eyes.) Hes off on business in Saumur, hes been working on this project for the past two daysnow. Hes a land developer for a real estate firm in London. The first two days were nice, we

went into town had dinner and dance. Then the third day he got a call from his boss about this

project that would take acouple of days to do, but its been pass two days now.

So how long are you going to stay here at Brissac? ( as she looks at Pym up and down)

(interrupts.) Well I think Ill be going now, I want to rest up before Andrew gets back and

before we dine. Ill see you ladies later, then.

(starts to get up like wise.) Yeah Ive better get back as well; Ive got to check on my car, Illwalk back with you Alex. Mrs. Barneswood it was nice meeting you and I guess Ill see you at

dinner.

Oh well, yes ok Ill see you both at dinner. I think Ill take a stroll around the park.Pym and Alex get up and leave, while Mrs. Barneswood goes for her stroll.

Mrs. Barneswood, shes a nice old lady, very very rich and can be very very noisy. Shes beenkeeping me company for the past two days, while Andrew works.

I think about two weeks, now. Shes here because of her nerves. But I think shes just here

because shes lonely and she just doesnt have nowhere to go. You know a lonely old lady witha lot of money, kids all grown up and she doesnt have anyone to keep her company so she just

travels and meets and makes friends along the way.

Hmm Hmm I see, shes rich. Hell Ill be her friend her side kick; I wouldnt mind traveling with

the old girl. Hey as long as shes paying, Ill do almost anything to keep her entertain. (shesmiles at Alex)

AlexPym you wouldnt! my God. You cant do that, well I mean you can but you wouldnt want to

No Im just kidding.( both smile at each other, Pym gives Alex a sly look.) Really Im kidding. (they continue to walk back to the chateaux.)

Its evening, time for dinner, everyone gets ready to dine with the Duke and Duchess of Brissac.

But first all the guest are in the drawing room getting ready to meet the Duke and Duchess.

ButlerGood Evening everyone, I would like to introduce you to Duke and Lady Brissac. (They both

come in and everyone either bows or curtseys.)

Duke

Oh please all of you dont have to bow or curtseys. Thats only for the King and Queen. Andwe all know who that is, please please everyone relax. (The Duke and Duchess get there drinks

and one by one each guest comes up and introduces themselves. After that they all have a drinkand the Duke makes a toast.) May you all enjoy your stay here at Brissac, and I hope everyone

lives there dreams and feels like they are Dukes and Duchess here. (everyone raises their glass of

champagne and say here here. Then everyone starts to mix and mingle and chat.)

Yes, we try to meet all our guest who come and stay here at the chateaux. It gives them the

warm and friendly feeling and it cures the guest curiosity about the owners.

So if someone wanted to rent or purchase one of these chateaux how does one acquire one?

Duke

Well you can contact a realtor and they can walk you through the ins and outs in purchasing or

renting one. Are you interested in venturing into this area of investing, because I have someoneyou can talk to.

PymMaybe, I might be interested in investing in a place.

Hmmm it seems someone here has money to burn, may I ask what is it that you do for a living

Ms. Strikes?

Im into capital investing, venture capital. I work for Bowmans Consultant firm.

Andrew I figured you must be tired of talking about business, since youve been to meetings forthe past few days. (she smiles alittle)

Ahyes, Im sorry darling. Well lets discuss my plans for the two of us , I havent forgotten our5thyear anniversary coming up. Tomorrow my sweet well go on that drive and have that picnic

youve been wanting to go on and then Friday well that will be a surprise, of which we well

Yes, well Ive already got plans swimming, sitting poolside working on my tan, maybe a driveinto town or around the countryside, fishing maybe alittle game of croquet with Mrs

Speaking of wines, my wife and I visited acouple of the wine cellars on the premises and theguide Felix was very helpful to us Duke. I really appreciate this.

Your welcome Richard, so you have a vineyard back at home in California that youve started.

Yes, my grandfather left it to my father, but dad he wasnt good at keeping it up so he had to hire

someone to take care of the vineyard for us. If it wasnt for me being interested in the winebusiness and going to school for it, he probable would of sold the place.

Mrs. BarneswoodSpeaking of wines, my late husband was an a advit lover of the grapes, his first mistress or was it

his second, the second one she worked in a wine store a very exclusive wine store in Italy when

he did business over there. It seems she knew her wines, because he

brought four cases of Di Majo Norante

stay here, weve gone ballooning, horse back riding, swimming oh its been very very nice. Inthat its sad for me to say Ben and I will be leaving tomorrow.

( everyone says oh---) yes today is our last day here at this wonderful fabulous place. The staff

here was very warm, pleasant and helpful and really catered to all our needs here Duke andDuchess, I just want to thank you so much for us all of us really for allowing us to be in your

home. (everyone claps, raises their champagne glasses.)

After dinner, everyone leaves. Mr and Mrs. Pointe head back to their room to pack. Mr and Mrs

Benjamin head back to their room also. Mrs. Barneswood goes with the Duke and Duchess to

chat for alittle while. Andrew goes back to the room while Alex steps outside the patio area for

abit of fresh air, with Pym following. Greg still sitting at the table finishing his wine.

So looks like youll be getting your man back, in time to celebrate your anniversary. Thatsgreat.

Yeah, finally. (finishes her champagne)

Here, Ill take that.(Pym takes Alexs glass while at the same time their hand is touching eachothers in a slow tender way.)

So that was a lovely dinner great champagne and to top it off a nice night, clear sky with the starsso bright up there.

AlexandriaYes it is very nice.( she goes to one of the lawn sofas to sit down in with Pym following her.

They both lookup at the sky) So Pym tell me do you have a lover back at home?

Yes, well I did but we broke up actually, she broke up with me.

Its kind of confusing, she claims I didnt pay her too much attention and she always wanted togo out, but if you talk to our circle of friends. They would tell you and back me up that I always

showed her a good time. I mean when we were together, we would go on three trips a year. Fuji

islands, Hawaii, Greece, a lot of Europe. We even went to Russia last year.

Oh wow thats fantastic; it seems you two had a great time and life together. So what do you

It was that I was getting farther into my career then she was and then at the end of the year shewas laided off from her job. After that it was all down hill for us.

So how long were you two together? I hope Im not being too nosey.

Seven years, we were planning on going through a ceremony together to make it official.

Alexandria

A ceremony, is that like a wedding for you people. Im sorry to say it that way.

Pym

Oh its no problem, dont worry you didnt offend me Alex. Yeah in some states they recognize

it and give weddings for gay couples who want to tie the knot.

Thats interesting. Can I ask you a personnel question Pym?

Pym

Well it all depends on how personnel it is, ask away.

So Whats it like being with a woman, I mean making love to a woman?

Its more intense, the emotions are running high, their more in tune with one anothers feelings and

Its morning and Andrew and Alexandria eat breakfast out by the lake, just the two of them.After that they will take a hot air balloon ride, then go horse back riding onto where they will

have a picnic lunch awaiting them. Pym is having breakfast in the dining area. Greg comes in

and starts loading up his plate.

Fine and yourself?

Ok---just alittle hangover, Pym I just want to apologize about last night. I probable drank too

much and said somethings, maybe too much. But the only thing Im not sorry for is telling youthe truth about Andy Boy and his wild adventure in Saumur.

PymApology excepted. I was thinking about what you said last night about the woman hes seeing in

town. Could you tell me, what did she look like? Did you remember the name of the hotel shesstaying at? (Greg starts to smile that sly smile and sits down to tell Pym.)

Yes could someone send me two eggs over easy, coffee, a bloody mary and a T-bone steak

medium rare.

Mean while Pym gets into the jaguar and goes for a drive into Saumur for the day for alittle site

Oui, we have a nice restaurant out back, the food is authentic regional French. The chef prepares

through the peep hole and opens the door to let him in. She smiles that devilish smile, grabs himin the room and starts kissing him.

They head to his room, he corks open the bottle pours it into the glasses from the bathroom, they

Alright then, Ill leave you to do what you have to do. (she heads to the door.) If you need

Dinner time and Mrs. Barneswood, the Benjamins and Pym are eating in the dining room. Just

doing alittle small talk. After dinner the Benjamins leave to go to there room. Pym goes into the

music room to play the piano with Mrs. Barneswood following and chating with her.

So whats going on with Alex and Andrew, I didnt see them tonight at the dinner table.

She and Andrew had a falling out, she caught him cheating on her with another woman, thatswhat the arguing is all about. (playing the piano.)

Oh my goodness, I hope shes ok. Maybe I better go and see how she is.

You play beautifully, where did you learn to play?

In grammar school all the way into high school. My parents, took me to recitals and I use to play

in a band in college.

Ah---so why did you give it up?

I decided that getting a roof over my head and eating were more important. But every now andthen I play at a small club in the village back at home.

I spoke to Andrew; he said hes willing to try to make the marriage work I told him I want towork it out also. I took in all youve said Pym, I just want to make sure before I do anything

destruct that will change both our lives; him and mines. So Im willing to work it out. To see if

him and I truly belong together. If it works out great if not, at least we both tried without neitherone of us going away saying what if, you know.

PymYeah, I understand it best. I mean you have to be able to try to see if its going to work. But it

still doesnt change how I feel about you and I know you have some feelings for me too. But I

dont want to stand in the way of you two trying to work it out in getting back together.

Yes, I cant say that there isnt something between the two of us. Youve stirred something

within me Pym and that part in me wont let me forget that. ( they keep riding for awhile until

dusk then the two of them have dinner together prepared for them in the wine cellar.)

So this was a good idea, to dine in the wine cellars of Brissac, that way we can have the bottles

delivered and corked within seconds from the dinner table. ( she sips her wine.)

So you have another week to go, what are you going to do when you get back to the states? Go

right back to work the next day?

No Ill spend a day or two just recuperating from my trip and the jet lag. Visit some friends tell

them how the trip went, tell them that I met this amazing woman and had fabulous sex with herbut she was married. If it had to of been a different time for the both of us, maybe.

Its late morning, and Pym wakes up and sees that Alex is gone; she gets up showers, dresses and

heads to the dining area for some breakfast. After she eats, she heads for Alexs room knocks onthe door, no answer she knocks again. Still no answer. Pym heads for the front desk and ask

about her.

Hi, is Mrs. Von Dorne in or out and about?

Front Desk

Mr and Mrs Von Dorne, left early this morning.

PymThey did!, so Mr von Dorne drove back to the chateaux early this morning. Hmm, wow.

Thanks. ( she takes the note and goes somewhere to read it. To the pond where the lake is. (shesits on the bench and starts to read the note Alex left her.)

Dearest Pym:

I know you probable think this was a cope out to leave and not personally say goodbye to you in

person. But your feelings towards me and the way I was feeling towards you and Andrew, it just

was too much to handle at this point in time. I do love Andrew very much and I care for you very

much too, but the time that Ive spent with him out weighs the time Ive spent with you. Maybeat a different time , different place, who knows what would of happen between the two of us.

Life is so unpredictable, confusing sometimes, mysterious but it is a life full of people who makeit that way. I enjoyed the connection we had together Pym, your warmth, tenderness and caring I
