INSTALLATION STEPS and TIPS: 1. FOUNDATION: If you have a patio slab, preferably 4” thick, this would be a suitable foundation. The complete BBQ kit, with grill installed, is approximately 4200lbs. Choose an area that is most level, remember there is no mortar to adjust block. The Country Manor BBQ has access for a standard propane tank to fit inside or you may choose to run a natural gas line. PREPARING A BASE LEVELING PAD: Excavate the base trench to 76” long x 40” wide. The trench should be approx 7” deep. Remove all the soil and fill the area with 3/4” rock, 6” deep (Approx 10cuft). Level the rock base approx 1” below grass line. 2. INSTALLING FIRST COURSE: Start with the full pallet of Country Manor. Note: there are 3 different sizes of block. Place the first course of Country Manor units end to end with corners touching as shown in the detail. The long groove (receiveing channel) should be facing down and the pin holes should be facing up. Make sure each unit is level side to side and front to back. Leveling the first course is critical for accurate and acceptable results. These units are tumbled and will have irregular sides. NOTE: Finished BBQ size will vary but is approximately 72”x36”. Install units as close to each other as possible. 3. CONNECTING THE BLOCK: OPTION 1: Insert the fiberglass alignment pins in the center holes of the Country Manor units. If holes are filled with slag, tap alignment pins into hole with hammer. Pins may not always align with the bottom receiving channels of block on higher courses. In these cases, use masonry adhesive in place of the pin. OPTION 2: Masonry adhesive can be used to secure all units. 4. INSTALLING COURSES 2-4: Note opening for the 24”x17” BBQ door. Be sure and check spacing for door to fit on each course. Before using units on the partial pallet, locate the 3 Pre-Cut Grooved Units and set aside. These pieces have a special 1” channel cut in their bottom side and will be placed atop metal bar (above BBQ door) when laying out course 6. 5. INSTALLING COURSE 5: When setting the 12”x33” flagstone piece, make sure chiseled side faces outward. Set the 1”x2”x24” stainless steel metal bar with the 1” side facing up. 6. INSTALLING COURSE 6:The front opening is for BBQ to slide in. Place the pre-cut, grooved units along the metal bar above BBQ door opening. The 1” top of the metal bar will fit into the receiving channel on the bottom of each pre-cut block.

7. INSTALLING FLAGSTONE TOP:Set the 12”x33” flagstone (chiseled side out) on the back side of the BBQ first. Then set the (2) 23”x41” pieces on either side of the BBQ (cut side in, chiseled side out). Adjust stone to receive the BBQ unit. NOTE: Flagstone pieces & BBQ are heavy. 2 people may be required to install. RCP also recommends sealing the flagstone top with a Stone Sealer or Impregnator.

8. INSTALLING BBQ DOOR and PROPANE TANK:When installing the BBQ door, trimming or chiseling of some units may be required to properly wedge the door into place. If using a propane tank, a 6ft flex line is recommended to place tank next to door for ease of turning propane on and off.
