THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF BRUCE BY-LAW NUMBER 2013-046 A BY-LAW TO PROVIDE FOR THE TAKING OF CERTAIN PREDATORS (COYOTES) Ontario Regulation 171/13to the Fishand Wildlife Conservation Act, 1997, S.O. 1997,c.41, has been amended, so that approval by the Ministryof Natural Resources District Manager is not required for the County of Bruce to provide compensation to a hunter or trapper for the eradication of predatory coyotes or wolves that have caused damage to a stockholder's livestock. The Council of the Corporation of the County of Bruce may, under the Municipal Act 2001, S.O.2001, c.25, Section 10(2)(5) pass by-laws in consideration of the economic, social and environmental well-being of the municipality. The Council of the Corporation of the County of Bruce deems it advisable to enact such regulations and to provide for valuable consideration for the eradication of certain predators in order to maintain or enhance the economic, social and environmental well-being of the residents of the County of Bruce THE COUNCIL FOR THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF BRUCE ENACTS BY-LAW 2013-046 AS FOLLOWS: 1. If a stockholder has had livestock killed by a coyote / wolf, and the stockholder chooses to engage a licensed hunter or trapper to kill the predatory coyote / wolf, a. The stockholder provides a written declaration that he/she has had livestock killed by a coyote / wolf; b. The municipality's livestock evaluator provides written confirmation that a stockholders livestock has been killed by a coyote / wolf; c. The stockholder assignsand appoints a licensed hunter or trapper to hunt or trap the coyote / wolf; d. The Clerk of the municipality, or the Clerk's Designate, provides written authorization to the hunter or trapper as assigned or appointed by the stockholder; e. The Clerk of the municipality, or the Clerk's designate, certifies that the carcass(es) have been viewed, counted and marked; f. The Clerk of the municipality authorizes the marked carcass(es) for payment; and, g. The hunter or trapper has provided confirmation that he/she understands and agrees to any conditions as set by the County. 2. The County of Bruce shall make a compensation payment to a hunter or trapper, upon receipt of a completed "Coyote / Wolf Predation Compensation Claim form," as set out in Schedule "A", attached hereto and forming part of this By-law.

BY-LAW NUMBER 2013-046

A BY-LAW TO PROVIDE FOR THETAKING OF CERTAIN PREDATORS (COYOTES)

Ontario Regulation 171/13to the Fishand Wildlife Conservation Act, 1997, S.O. 1997,c.41, has been amended, so that approval by the Ministryof Natural ResourcesDistrict Manager isnot required for the County of Bruce to provide compensation to a hunter or trapper for the eradication of predatory coyotes or wolves that have caused damage to a stockholder's livestock.

The Council of the Corporation of the County of Bruce may, under the Municipal Act 2001,S.O.2001,c.25, Section 10(2)(5)pass by-laws in consideration of the economic, social and environmental well-being of the municipality.

THE COUNCIL FOR THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF BRUCE ENACTS BY-LAW 2013-046 AS FOLLOWS:

1. If a stockholder has had livestock killed by a coyote / wolf, and the stockholder chooses to engage a licensed hunter or trapper to kill the predatory coyote / wolf,

a. The stockholder provides a written declaration that he/she has had livestock killed by a coyote / wolf;

b. The municipality's livestock evaluator provides written confirmation that a stockholders livestock has been killed by a coyote / wolf;

c. The stockholder assignsand appoints a licensed hunter or trapper to hunt or trap the coyote / wolf;

d. The Clerk of the municipality, or the Clerk's Designate, provides written authorization to the hunter or trapper as assigned or appointed by the stockholder;

e. The Clerk of the municipality, or the Clerk's designate, certifies that the carcass(es) have been viewed, counted and marked;

f. The Clerk of the municipality authorizes the marked carcass(es) for payment; and,

g. The hunter or trapper has provided confirmation that he/she understands and agrees to any conditions as set by the County.

2. The County of Bruce shall make a compensation payment to a hunter or trapper, upon receipt of a completed "Coyote / Wolf Predation Compensation Claim form," as set out in Schedule "A", attached hereto and forming part of this By-law.

3. The County may, at its sole discretion, refuse payment to a hunter or

trapper, if one or more terms or conditions of this By-law, or one or

more terms or conditions of the "Coyote Wolf PredationCompensation Claim Form" have not been complied with.

4. By-law No.'s 3145, 3198, 3256, 4250, 2010-009 are hereby rescinded.

5. This by-law shall come into force and effect on the date it is passed

by Council.

applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws, ordinances, statutes, rules, regulations and orders,

and all by-laws of all relevant authorities.
