L'accent de mots : les adjectifs :

L'ajout des préfixes im-, ir- ou dis- ne déplace pas l'accent primaire de l'adjectif.

Ex : 'honest- dis'honest, 'patient – im'patient, 'responsible – irres'ponsible.

Les adjectifs composés ont deux accents : accent secondaire puis accent primaire.

Ex : ,easy-'going, ,hard-'working

Exercice 1 page 18 : réécris ces phrases de manière à ce qu'elles soient vraies pour

toi, en te servant des expressions suivantes : not...at all / not very / a bit / quite /

extremly / too

a- I am quite honest. (Cindy)

b- I am not shy at all. (Marion)

c- I am not impatient at all. (Elie)

d- I'm quite easy-going. (Chloé)

Exercice 3 page 18 : Fiona présente son amie Sharon à sa classe puis se présente elle-

même. Complète en conjuguant les verbes entre parenthèses.

Right, let's start with Sharon. She loves (love) helping other people so she is (be) quite

helpful. But she doesn't like (not/like) doing her homework, so she is (be) a bit lazy. She has

(have) loads of friends and she hangs out with them every weekend. Now about me : I am

(be) extremly touchy but I don't think (not/think) I am (be) selfish. I hate (hate) gardening

Les verbes de goût :

Après les verbes de goût , le verbe prend un -ing.

Ex : I hate doing my homework.

I love sending texts on my mobile.

I don't like speaking English.

RAPPEL : à la 3ème personne du singulier au présent le verbe prend toujours un -s.

ex : Benjamin loves San Francisco.

Elie doesn't like English.

Questions :

What animal are you ?

What can't you live without ?

What do you like doing on Saturday ?

What sort of music do you like ?

What animal scares you ?

What are you like ?

Exercice 4 page 18 : imagine les questions que Paul a pu poser à Greg. Lis bien les

réponses et sois logique !

Paul : What do you like doing on Saturdays ?

Greg : On Saturday nights ? Well, I enjoy going to the pictures.

Paul : Do you like playing video games ?

Exercice 2 page 18 : complète ces phrases en parlant de soi :

a- I really enjoy setting the table.

b- At home, I hate doing my homework.

c- I don't really like selfish people / listening to music.
