CPF PEI French Student Excellence Awards

NCFD 150 (National Canadian Film Day) is a massiveone­day celebration of Canadian cinema in honor of ournation’s sesquicentennial. On April 19, 2017, greatCanadian movies will be available via broadcast, onlineand at over 600 screenings in cinemas, libraries, publicsquares and anywhere you can show a film. With freeevents happening across every province and territory,many involving Canadian film talent, NCFD 150— aCanada 150 Signature Project — promises to be thelargest film festival in the world.

Presented by REEL CANADA, an organization that hasbeen introducing Canadian film to high school studentsand new Canadians since 2005, NCFD 150 is atremendous opportunity for Canadians of all ages andbackgrounds to gather and enjoy the wealth of work byour nation’s storytellers. With the help of partners andaudiences in every corner of the country, it will putCanadian cinema and our unique nation in anunprecedented spotlight. The National office is pleased to confirm the successfulcompletion of its #CPFLaurier Campaign to honor andcelebrate the legacy of Sir Wilfrid Laurier. With the helpof 18 Laurier youth champions from across Canada theNational office used prerecorded video clips to engageand encourage audience participation while highlightingthe many ways Laurier contributed to making Canada a“oui” bit better.

The cross country social media campaign whichculminated on November 20th, Laurier’s 175th birthday,

attained a total reach across all platforms (Youtube,Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) of 38, 490.

The postcard contest received over 330 contestsubmissions from youth across Canada. A random draw from the postcard submissions was doneon November 21st, 2017. We are pleased to announceour winner.
