Nobles have the ability to manage the repairs of all brands and model of cranes within the industry. Our technicians are trained and accredited to comply with Australian Standards and other legislative requirements.

We have strong partnerships with well known local and global suppliers to bring you the latest specialist lifting products, technology and support. Our dedicated team includes specialist technicians, inspectors and operators who will be able to assist you quickly, efficiently and can manage all your certification, commissioning and repairs. We also have a team of engineers who are able to support your lifting products to ensure your lifting needs are met.

Nobles team of 20+ highly trained and qualified crane technicians are located in all states across Australia. They have over 80 years combined experience servicing all types of overhead cranes and hoists in the mining, oil and gas and heavy industry.

Below is Nobles recommended servicing frequency based on Australian Standards and industry best practice.

Designed to perform visual checks and maintenance work, such as adjusting and lubricating, with the intent of satisfying manufacturers’ maintenance instructions.

Periodic Third-Party Inspections

52 Weekly AS2550.1-2011 Appendix F

Designed to inspect equipment for deficiencies and violations as defined in AS2550.1-2011.

Design Working Period (DWP) Calculations

52 Weekly AS2550.1-2011 s9 The DWP calculation is an estimate of the accumulated duty of the crane and assessment of its remaining life.

Periodic Runway Inspections

52 Weekly AS1418.18-2001 s9 A comprehensive analysis of crane runway and crane rail alignment. Survey conducted by specialist to provide comprehensive report on condition and recommendations for corrective actions.

7/10 Year Major Mechanical Assessment

7/10 Years AS2550.1-2011 s9 Includes an inspection and interview completed by a crane specialist or engineer and remaining design life calculations. List of recommendations for repair, replacement or adjustment are provided.

25 Year Major Structural Assessment

16/25 Years AS2550.1-2011 s9 Includes an inspection and interview completed by a crane specialist or engineer and remaining design life calculations. List of recommendations for repair, replacement or adjustment are provided.

MaintenanceRecommendations

TypicalFrequency Brief Description

Hook Inspection 52 Weekly Designed to uncover issues that may lead to hook or bottom block failure. The bottom block of a crane is made up of many internal critical components that are not typically evaluated during regular inspections and routine maintenance.

Oil Analysis 52 Weekly Designed to assist in deciding the optimal oil change timing for hoisting, traveling and traverse gears. The analysis may also provide useful information regarding the condition of internal fear components.

Coupling Inspection 4-8 Years Designed to uncover issues that may lead to coupling failure. Load-bearing couplings are critical components for the safe operation of lifting equipment. Not typically inspected during normal inspections and routine maintenance.

General Overhaul End of Design Life

Designed to refurbish and replace critical components of the crane at the end of it’s design life.
