Clubs and Workforce – Current Programmes /Work Areas
• Direct support to NGBs• Insight into Clubs, Workforce, Coaching and Volunteering• Clubs: Club Leaders, Clubmark, Club Views and Help for Clubs. • Volunteering: In Development Stage a) Small grant scheme to
help volunteers with their volunteering; b) A tool to help volunteers find opportunities & for opportunities to be made available to volunteers (using an existing online system) c) collated and enhanced resources for volunteers
• Professional Workforce – Top Team NGB Exec support, Regional staff CPD forums, Leading Edge CEO leadership programme, Cranfield run Development Directors and equivalent programme.
• Coaching – developing and driving the delivery of a Coaching Plan for England

Consultation includes Sport England colleagues, NGB’s, CSP’s, LA’s and 200+ clubs
•The support available is too fragmented •Accessing support is too confusing•It all needs to be joined up•Needs to be easy to navigate•Need to be time well spent•Reflective of traditional clubs and new ways of engaging in sport•Needs to be attractive, accessible to all and engaging

• Clubmark will continue to advocate that a club provides the right environment which ensures the welfare of members and encourages everyone to enjoy sport and stay involved throughout their lives.
• Clubmark is now managed by Sport England in-house. This arrangement is for an interim period and will continue until May 2014 when Clubmark will become part of Club Support, the one stop shop for clubs and volunteers.

Clubmark Evaluation
• The Clubmark evaluation will take place from March 2014 to May 2014 and its purpose is:– To establish the main benefits of Clubmark for our key
stakeholders– To establish the wider impacts of the process of gaining
Clubmark for accredited clubs and key stakeholders– To gather key stakeholders’ views (positive and negative) on the
process involved in attaining Clubmark– To gather key stakeholders’ views on any changes/enhancements
they would like to see made to Clubmark in 2014 and onwards
• The evaluation findings will be used to shape an improvement plan for the delivery of Clubmark to be developed and implemented by the Club Support contract provider.
• CSPs are a key consultees

Summary• Club Vision – Creating an excellent experience in clubs every
time for everyone• Current programmes – Club Leaders, Clubmark, Club Views
and Help for Clubs• Will continue and seamlessly transfer to Club Support, the one
stop shop for information, guidance and support for clubs and volunteers (working title)
• Club Support our first action• Procuring a single supplier or consortium to work with Sport
England to delivery Club Support• Will only succeed with the engagement, value and support of
NGB’s and CSP’s• Club Support is just the start – evolving, on-going consultation,
insight and review
