CREATIVE DANCE NEWS
An Afternoon of Dance 2018 For those of you who are new to The Creative Dance
Center, each spring we have an informal performance to
conclude our year of dance and to share all we have
learned throughout the year. All classes (ages 4+) are
welcome to participate. Our annual end of the year
performance is typically held the second Saturday of
June. This year’s performance is scheduled for Saturday,
June 2, 2018 at the Hale Middle School Auditorium in
Stow, MA. Dress Rehearsal will be held the same day
prior to the performance. More details will follow as we
get closer to the date. Please mark your calendar!
Winter Session of Dance Dancers Workshop Just a reminder that there will be no classes
held December 22, 2017 to January 3, 2018 for
the holiday break.
The Dancers Workshop Performing Group of
Stow will meet on January 4th for the first
rehearsal of the New Year. All other classes in
Stow will resume the current session of classes
on Thursday, January 11th.
New sessions of dance will begin in January and
February as follows:
Pepperell Community Church,
Winter Session begins Sat, Jan 6, 2018.
Pepperell Community Center,

Stow Old Town Hall,
Winter/Spring Session begins Thurs, Feb1,
2018.
Current students should expect to receive a
tuition statement soon.
I look forward to dancing with all of you in the
New Year!
Dancers Workshop is a performing group of dedicated
dancers ages 8+ who love to share the art of creative
dance with the community. They recently performed at
the Littleton Lifecare Center and Concord Park where
they brought smiles to all the residents. And, this past
Sunday, the dancers performed at our annual Winter
Celebration of Dance Performance in Stow, MA, along
with some enthusiastic guests who joined in the fun! I
am grateful to all my dancers for all your hard work and
dedication. Thank-you for spreading cheer during the
holiday season!

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
Phone: 978-433-8349
Email: [email protected]
Website: www.creative-dance.com
With classes offered in Stow and Pepperell, MA
Q: When can parents observe class?
A: Parents are invited to watch classes
on special visiting days a few times
during the year. Parents are asked to
wait in the waiting area on
non-visiting days. I find that students
focus better and perform their best
when there are not visitors on a weekly
basis.
Q: Where should shoes, etc. be left
during dance class?
A: All belongings other than water
bottles can be left in the designated
area in the hallway. Please no street
shoes in the dance area as we want to
keep our dance space clean.
Q: Where should I park?
A: Pepperell Community Center,
Community Church of Pepperell, and
First Parish Church of Stow have
designated parking lots. At the Stow
Town Hall, parking is allowed in the
parking areas on Hartley Road (above
the fire station), Center School (when
school is not in session) and the
southerly side of Crescent Street next
to the Town Hall. Parking in the new
town offices parking lot is prohibited.
Thanks!
Dance is for everyone and everyone can dance!
Q: What if my child is sick?
A: With the start of winter also comes
germs. Please encourage your child to
sneeze and cough into their elbows
rather than their hands to help prevent
the spread of germs. Also, if your
child is sick please, for the safety of
everyone, let your child recover at
home for the day and rejoin us when
feeling better. If your child is sick
and/or on vacation and is unable to
attend class, please call and leave a
message on my answering machine.
Classes may be made up by attending
another class of the same age level
during the session if a class is
available. Please call in advance if you
would like to make up a class. Thanks!
A Note From Your Teacher:
I like to think of all of you as part of
my dance family. If you, parent or
child, have a question or concern,
please contact me. I would be
happy to talk with you!

In the case of bad weather, just a reminder that
dance classes will usually be canceled according to the
Stow and Pepperell school systems.
However, in the event weather worsens during
the day or I am unable to get to class I may make the
decision to cancel. Or, if weather significantly improves
during the day, I may decide to still hold class.
I will send an email to each student if class is
cancelled during questionable weather. The information
will also be posted on our Face Book Page.
If you are unsure if class is being held, please call
978-433-8349. A makeup class will be scheduled for snow
days provided enough students are interested in attending.
