PERSONAL CREATIVITY TO RE-IMAGINE THE WORLD “The creative is the place where noone else has ever been. You have toleave the city of your comfort and gointo the wilderness of your intuition. What you’ll discover will bewonderful.”-Alan Alda, Actor, writer, activist and, director Creativity is often seen as somethingexclusive, the domain of professional Artists and “creative types”. In reality, all people are born creative. Sometimes some of us need a little help accessing our creative talents and unleashing our imagination. When in creative flow, we feel a renewed sense of joy and purpose and more connected with who we are. In creativity, there is the opportunity to imagine solutions to difficult problems, personally and socially. There is a chance to create art and also to imagine our lives and how we would like them to be. This course will draw on ideas and practice from Reos Partners’ social change work, Social Sculpture, Visual Facilitation and Creative Writing. We will bring you, with humor, passion and encouragement, a day of learning, discovery and journeys in creativity.October 16th2010Hosted by Mia Eisenstadt, Emily Wilki nson and Deborah RavetzA One-Day Workshop in Art and Social Change Image: Longing, Deborah Ravetz
